The state of Alaska plans to seek nearly $16,000 in legal fees from Joe Miller's team over litigation surrounding the U.S. Senate race.
The Department of Law says its attorney fees related to Miller's challenge in state Superior Court totaled $79,722.50. The department says it is allowed to recover 20 percent of the fees and is seeking $15,957.55.
This absolutely makes my morning.
In my opinion it would be perfect if these costs forced Miller to file for bankruptcy.

You know the really shocking thing, is that after all of this Miller STILL believes he has a future in Alaskan politics.
"I have run for office at both the state and federal level, in both primary and general elections, and am likely to do so in the future," Miller told a federal court judge in an affidavit Monday, one day before the same judge dismissed his case.
I cannot imagine anybody supporting Miller in the future. The guy is an asshole, a sore loser, and a coward who requires his own security staff to make him feel safe. That is NOT somebody who Alaskans can respect.

ReplyDeleteI had posted that I felt sorry for his children, and I got BLASTED with a stream of e-mails stating that Joe Miller had NEVER lied about anything, that Joe Miller is beloved in Alaska (especially by the native community)--
but that he is hated because he wants to clean up all the corruption in the state. He is hated by evil out-of-state interests who contribute money to bring him down.
They just don't realize how beloved he is, in Alaska.
This sounds eerily familiar to me---or is it just that I am an evil out-of-stater?
Maybe he will follow the "gifter" to Arizona so he can stay in politics as Sarah's a**kisser.

Unfortunately, there are many "Joe Millers" who did win their election in November. We're going to need to keep constant track of their voting records and remarks to be ready to boot them out in the next election.
The next time someone tells you it's an "off" election, or "just local politics," you can now respond with just two words - "Joe Miller" or "Sarah Palin." Just think if $carah had lost her bid for mayor of tiny, local Wasilly, the world would be a much better place.

I clicked on the link to Miller's web site, then clicked on his Facebook link, then took a look at comments. Unlike Palin's cleanup crew on HER Facebook page, he leaves all the angry, negative comments against him and his lost race on HIS Facebook page.

I suspect that the reason the "DONATE" button is so damn big on Miller's site is that the folks who might be inclined to give their hard earned money to Joe are none too bright to begin with. I suspect that before long the button will occupy most of Miller's homepage.

President Obama has done all he could possibly do DESPITE the Republicans in Washington stone-walling him at every turn, and making it nearly impossible to accomplish anything.

ReplyDeleteAlthough to date I have not seen one iota of hard proof that this happened, other than SarahPAC making this claim. It certainly does not show up in the official federal legal affidavits shown on the internet. PayPal, et al are named. . .but no mention of SarahPAC by either side. IPs are identified, but no mention of any specific targeting of the SarahPAC site on the legal or FBI records.
If anything happened at all, I suspect it was simply their donation link that went down, as a global effect of the highjinks.
That doesn't stop SarahPAC from begging for more money, without offering any hard documentation as to actual damages.

We do have a lot of Libertards in Fairbanks, though. Every winter, when the carbon monoxide is so heavy asthmatics start making out their wills, the Libertards say on the radio (their own show or phoning in) that someone should do something to eliminate the cheap city buses. The fact that not meeting federal air standards costs Fairbanks money has never sunk in to them.

Anonymous 10:54 the president said he would not keep the Bush Tax cuts for the rich for another 4 years. Its on film you can watch him say it. This is a major broken promise that many will remember, no more free passes for this president.
