Public school educators take Betsy DeVos to school.

Apparently somebody brought this to the attention of DeVos who then sent out this attempt at conciliation.
Somehow I doubt that the teachers will be fooled by that.

Educators are by definition intelligent and well informed.

They know what's coming, and it terrifies them.

NCLB crippled public education in this country, and DeVos clearly has plans to finally put it out of its misery.

So I guess DeVos was ticked that there were no Bibles lying around, and no required group prayers? I mean, teachers should be free to proselytize, right? Perhaps when she visits a charter school, she'll hear a Muslim prayer, a Jewish prayer, and be blessed with the knowledge that all kids deserve to choose whether to believe or not?

I'm waiting for the moment when DeVos attempts to explain how diverting public funds to for-profit charter schools and cutting education budgets will result in "MORE freedom", 'cause you KNOW it's coming...

Once again, DeVos shows how sentence-challenged she is.

If Betsy LA go had any sincere interest in adding value to teaching, she would have refused the cabinet position .She is an smug, ignorant low rent moron with money.
She is condescending and is not fit to suck my #$%&!

In my little state, the local paper explained how the vouchers have destroyed public schools and have siphoned the money from taxpayers for questionable private for profit schools with no oversight or rules.

  7. Meanwhile Betsy's brother scores a multi- million dollar contract on the 6th of February for his mercenary aircraft to monitor African countries. Sweet.

War is hell. Very profitable hell.

Betsy "I can't remember that I am an officer in my mother's far right leaning foundation" cannot construct a sentence worth reading.

Let that be a lesson to you Lou Sarah.

Is she worried about those California taxpayers who are hurting from the dam and weather?

Betsy DeVos' comments (at the start of the post) make no sense at all. Like Trump himself, she is in way over her head. I'm not in favor or throwing life preservers to either of them.

Betsy DeVos has no choice but to shitcan public school teachers. How else can she put them out of a job?

20 years ago in Bethal Alaska>
"Evan Ramsey's tattered life filled him with rage. Then he brought a shotgun to school."
" unlike how it sounded years ago in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper. He is not looking for sympathy. He said he is speaking up to say how wrong he was and to help others, like school counselors, understand the rage that took hold." in 1986, his father>
was enraged over publisher Bob Atwood's refusal to print a ranting political ad. No one died, but he went to prison for 10 years."
"Hare, then the longtime Lower Kuskokwim School District superintendent, has been described as the foster mom but actually was legal guardian for Evan Ramsey and his younger brother, William. She did it for no money, which endeared her to Ramsey."

She was a single mom, adopting Yup'ik twins as she and her late husband had planned. He drowned trying to save a child, she said. Over the years, Hare took in other children who needed a temporary home."
"It sounds ridiculous now, even to him, but he says he thought he could shoot and no one would die, like in the "Doom" video game he played into the night. He remembers watching a television program in prison that referenced how the teen brain isn't fully developed, how teens aren't yet fully rational beings."Only in his mother's death did he realize the enormity of what he did, how he forever deprived those Bethel families of what was most dear."

  13. The petitions are still active on White House . gov.

The one demanding Trump release his taxes is over a million signatures.

We could start a no-confidence one for DeVos demanding she resign, but of course, it would do no good. I doubt anyone in the administration is monitoring that site any more. They either haven't taken it down yet or are leaving it there as window dressing.

I had one of the most bigoted and least informed history teachers when I was in high school in TN. Told us that the civil war wasn't about slavery, it was states rights, blah blah and how MLK was such a troublemaker. He leered at us girls. Not every teacher belongs to that intelligent and informed camp.
