The Deputy Attorney General says that Special Counsel Mueller can essentially investigate any damn crime related to Donald Trump that he wants.

Courtesy of WaPo:

Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein said Sunday that the expanding investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is continuing apace, even as President Trump dismissed the probe as “a total fabrication.”

Rosenstein said special counsel Robert S. Mueller III can investigate any crimes that he might discover within the scope of his probe, but the deputy attorney general would not discuss which individuals are the subject of their inquiry. The interview comes days after Trump said he believes it would be inappropriate for Mueller to dig into Trump family finances.

“The special counsel is subject to the rules and regulations of the Department of Justice, and we don’t engage in fishing expeditions,” Rosenstein said when asked about the probe in an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”

Rosenstein declined to comment on reports that Mueller is using a grand jury in a court in Washington to aid in his investigation but he said that such a step is a routine part of “many investigations.”

“It’s an appropriate way to gather documents, sometimes to bring witnesses in, to make sure that you get their full testimony,” Rosenstein said. “It’s just a tool that we use like any other tool in the course of our investigations. “

Considering that there are now at least two different Grand Juries, this part right here, "we don't engage in fishing expeditions," is the part that must have made Trump pee a little in his Depends.

That means that Mueller is not simply shaking the tree to see what might comes loose. He has already gathered up the fruit and is getting ready to take it to market.

The second part that must have made Trump's bowels release a little is where Rosenstein suggests that there are really no limits as to what Mueller can investigate, which means that Trump's tax returns, business deals, and even relationships are open to intense scrutiny.

With THIS family, and with THIS kind of freedom, there is literally NO WAY that Mueller could fail to find criminal activity.

None.

By the way the fact that Trump has not tweeted about this interview is proof positive that General John Kelly is actively swatting his tiny orange hands away from his cell phone, and keeping him distracted with shiny objects.

Sounds like a methodical process approach towards a data driven objective.
It feels like we might have some serious trained and skilled objective and independent professionals looking into all of this "alleged" blatant corruption by the trump thug ,Nazi , racist, administration!

Well, of course, he can. Unless Sessions does away with it, the rule of law will prevail.

So appreciative that our founding fathers were as smart and, apparently, as prescient as they are turning out to be.

if the cops were called to a shoplifting and theytrip over a body at the 7 11 doorway would they ignore it? Trump thinking that the FBI is not going follow any evidence that they encounter is moronic I would hope

And little mouthpiece Kellyspam could only muster "he's not on vacation" today. He hasn't worked one full day yet, why would he start at the golf course? Perhaps if he gets a full day of rain, but then I can see him loading up the jet and heading to another of his resorts to spend more of our money. Go Mueller go!

Trump has certainly surrounded himself with a bunch of sycophantic liars. They are so absurd and transparent as to appear to be cartoon characters. Are they the "Bestest" people in Trump's artificial reality. There are folks of voting age who believe these mendacious Trump supporting buffoons. It is unbelievable how ignorant large numbers of Americans are. Kayleigh McEnany is the one who really grates on my nerves. She and the others have absolutely no integrity. They are the faces of corruption and dishonesty.

Most Republicans and Trump will go on as if Rosenstein said nothing like this. If Kelly can contain Trump there will be silence. He must be whiny and feeling the sads for what the meanies are doing to him. Because Hillary and Obama, of course.

A few weeks in his New Jersey golf bubble will be interesting. What happened to his wife and boy? I saw some grand kids.

Trump can still keep himself amused imagining that with zero legislation he can take credit for the state of the economy. I love how he and his bots keep harping about the Dow--- are they really that stupid that they don't even know that the Dow becomes erect at the mere thought of war?

Yet he's still at it...he thinks he's untouchable:

(I swear the Trumps must think that 'emoluments' are what you smear on your face to keep from getting wrinkles.)

On Friday, just as Donald Trump was flying into New Jersey for the start of his seventeen day golf vacation, a private plane belonging to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich also arrived at the same Newark airport (link). There is no proof that Abramovich was even on his plane, let alone that he traveled on to Trump’s golf resort. But newly suspicious behavior on Trump’s part reveals that he’s definitely trying to hide something big from the media.

Today, Donald Trump ditched the traveling press pool by leaving them in a windowless room at a Marriott located twelve miles away from his Bedminster golf resort, thus ensuring that they had no ability to see anything that might have transpired at his golf property today (source: Celeste Katz). This will cause any number of skeptics to ask aloud if Trump was trying to prevent the media from seeing Abramovich, or whoever might have arrived on Abramovich’s plane.

If this story sounds oddly familiar, it’s because something strikingly similar has happened before. Back in February, traveling reporters revealed that they’d been ditched in a Mar-a-Lago basement with the windows blacked out. This was the same weekend in which the private plane belonging to another Russian oligarch, Dmitry Rybolovlev, flew into a nearby airport. There was widespread suspicion that Trump was trying to prevent the media from seeing Rybolovlev’s arrival at Mar-a-Lago. However, it was never proven that Rybolovlev was at Mar-a-Lago, and he’s since insisted that the flight was a mere coincidence.

But now that Donald Trump is once again ditching the traveling reporters in a windowless room during a golf vacation, at a time when a Russian oligarch’s private plane has just arrived at a nearby airport, it’s going to raise a whole new round of questions about what Trump is hiding and why.

Any number of things could be going on. If Trump wanted he could sneak away in a friends plane, have secret meetings, whatev, and be back to play golf or romp with the grandchildren.

Trump lets US pipeline $ flow to Putin ally, Russian billionaire whose wife is a friend of Ivanka's

As one of his first actions as president, on his second working day in office, Donald Trump issued executive orders that cleared the way for two major, controversial oil pipeline projects, the Keystone XL pipeline and the Dakota Access pipeline. This generated some controversy because Trump has a minor financial stake in companies involved in the projects, but mainstream media has so far missed a dramatically more inflammatory issue :

I disagree that Kelly has been swatting his hands away from his phone. I believe that Kelly has taken the phone away from him, or that he turned his service off and had the comm people fix the phone so it looks like he has service.
