Melania Trump came to Alaska?

Courtesy of ADN:

First lady Melania Trump landed Friday morning at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage for a jet refueling stop that coincided with a military celebration.

A security-screened crowd packed into Arctic Oasis Community Center, which serves the base as a family gym, indoor playground, hair salon, arcade and more. Trump arrived with a traveling team that included step son-in-law Jared Kushner on an Air Force jet from Beijing on their way back to Washington, D.C., after touring Asia with President Donald Trump.

The first lady spent less than an hour at a preplanned event to celebrate families of active-duty members that included arts and crafts, stories and games. It occurred on the observed holiday for Veterans Day, which falls on Saturday this year. Kushner stopped in as well, but was not front and center the way Melania Trump was.

"JBER Welcomes The First Lady," said a hand-painted red banner decorated with stars taped to the lockers.

People held their phones over their heads and crushed up against barricades to document the moment. Some were trying for good shots of their children, handpicked to show the first lady activities including making rainbows in jars and creating decorative fish from plastic jewels and CDs. Retired military people came and active duty ones too.

Of course they were handpicked. Can't have any of those nasty kids of liberal parents getting close to the First Hostage.

I wonder if Melania felt at home here in our frigid little state?

After all this is a state fairly bulging with sexual abuse victims, and she is married to most famous abuser on the planet.

P.S. By the way I think the reason I did not know this earlier, is that our local news has turned to shit and I have been boycotting it for several years now.

So Melanie flies home ahead of the chump. How much do these separate trips cost American taxpayers?

Alot! Now do they fly the plane empty back to Asia,or did she fly on a trump plane at a"special" rip off the taxpayers" rate?

  2. Refresh my memory -- I seem to recall someone from Alaska who ran for Vice President on the Republican ticket a few years ago.

Here's the Washington Post article about Melania's visit to Alaska -- no mention of the former VP candidate welcoming her or even in attendance.

    1. I am imagining a dirty-wigged old woman in a too-tight black lace skirt screaming at the barricade guard -- "Let me in! Don't you know who I am?!?"

I'm sure Palin knew she'd be beat down horribly if she made an effort to greet the First Lady. Come to think of it, the Trumps probably didn't invite her - or, the Republican party!

Palin is a has been - nothing more and nothing less. Plus, she does not have the majority support of Alaskans.

November 11 is Armistice Day, a day that commemorates the ending at 11:00am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month the ending of the First World War. it is commemorated in Britain and Canada and probably in France and other countries whose soldiers suffered and died so horribly between 1914 and 1918 with a short period of silence, a church ceremony, a wreath laying in a national cemetery or where that country's "unknown soldier" of that horrific four-year carnage is buried. Now, in the US, a solemn day like "Armistice Day" has morphed into a celebration, one marred this year in Alaska by the appearance of the third wife - there for a few minutes to pat the heads of some pre-selected children, pose seductively for the cameras and then slink off to her plane. Did she wear her sunglasses?

Nothing says inauthenticity like Malaria. Roll her in. What is wrong with those Alaskans? Were they paid or threatened?

Military. You know, where you check your ethics and brains for pay and perqs. For FAR TOO MANY of the current enlisted.

i think she would rather take her son and go any where trump is not. she doesn't want to be first lady. she should be left alone and Ivanka could be first lady. i really do feel sorry for her because she never signed up for this.

I do not expect much from this First Lady beyond being arm candy for Trump. She performs less than minimal duties in the role of First Lady on par with her spouse’s anti traditional conception of the presidency.

Remember, she sued because she expects to profit financially from this position. She's all wee wee'd up because her past profession keeps getting brought up. We know who you really are Melania Trump.

  9. Gryphen, I've never visited Alaska, but I'll take your word it's frigid. But do y'all keep it FRIGID indoors also? Asking because Melania has on an outdoors down-filled jacket. On Veterans' Day, at JBER military base, as FLOTUS, she couldn't even take off her coat. In my neck of the woods, that's a horrible disrespectful discourtesy.

she doesn't seem real happy anywhere. the coat could be a way of keeping people at a distance.

I am beginning to wonder if she doesn't smile because her face has been nipped and tucked so many times she can't move the muscles.

  10. Security screened. Does that mean "Did you vote for Trump?" was the first question?

    Hand picked? Blonde and white?

  11. She wouldn't get a penny. How would she support Damien, let alone her lavish lifestyle?

She's playing the odds he'll die and she'll be a rich widow. Until the reading of the will and all of the creditors come out of the woodwork to pick over the carcass. Then she'll find out he's broke and she suffered all those years for nothing.

oh damn, she might have to get a job like the rest of the "commoners".She made her bed. It was her choice to sleep with the Orange Turd. She needs to find a life of her own and tend to her autistic son. Tiffanys mom,the Showgirl, cut bait and Tiff was spared. Theres still hope for Barron. Or is it John Miller? weird how he named his kid after one of his known aliases. Guess he always wanted an aristocratic title in the family. Instead he got the son of a jailbird.
