Joe the Plumber seems to encapsulate the feelings of most of the gun fetishists in this country.

Sarah Palin sure can pick winners can't she?
Courtesy of TPM:

Samuel Wurzelbacher gave his condolences this week to the families of the victims of the mass shooting near the University of California, Santa Barbara. But no tragedy is going to stop "Joe The Plumber" from defending the Second Amendment.

In an open letter published Tuesday on the website Barbwire, Wurzelbacher went out of his way to explain to the victims' parents that the deaths won't undermine his "Constitutional rights."

"I am sorry you lost your child. I myself have a son and daughter and the one thing I never want to go through, is what you are going through now," wrote Wurzelbacher, who became something of a mascot for John McCain's failed 2008 presidential campaign. "But: As harsh as this sounds – your dead kids don’t trump my Constitutional rights."

I think that just about sums it up.

To these people who believe that the 2nd Amendment is the MOST important part of the Constitution, there is nothing that they hold more dear.

Not even the lives of our children.

Former conservative icon "Joe the Plumber" now working in a union shop just like any other pinko commie. Say it ain't so Joe!

Courtesy of Wurzelbacher's Right Wing blog Joe for America:

In order to work for Chrysler, you are required to join the Union, in this case UAW. There’s no choice – it’s a union shop – the employee’s voted to have it that way and in America that’s the way it is. I have lived in Toledo, Ohio off and on throughout my entire life and I have plenty of friends who are union members. Sometimes we agree politically and sometimes not, but it has never kept us from being friends. I wondered if this would be the case at my new job, so..

I had three days of orientation, and now I’m “on the job” over here at Chrysler and on Day 4, I’m outside on a break smoking a cigarette and right on cue – some guy calls me a “teabagger.”

Now, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Democrats and liberals, who are supposed to so tolerant and enlightened regarding homosexuals have for three or four years now, have been using a gay slur to describe people who they think are associated with the Tea Party. “Tea Bagger” has traditionally been a derogatory slur used to intimidate, put down, humiliate and otherwise taunt, smear, bully or just discriminate against gays – usually gay men – based on a sex act that gay men apparently made popular.

Decorum prevents me from describing it – they got this thing called “Google” now for that – but suffice it to say that the double-standard for what Democrats can say and what conservatives can say continues unabated, but still I thought to myself, did this guy think I’m gay, or was he making a statement of my political affiliation? I tried talking to him, but he went off about how he was a “journeyman” and started walking away.

Wurzelbacher's thin skin is kind of humorous considering the crap he said about the President.

However if he actually used this Google thing he is talking about, he might learn that the word "Teabagger" was NOT a disparaging label used to describe gay men.

In fact according to the Urban Dictionary it is either a person who dangles their testicles in another person's mouth (Described as a male on female activity) or:

A fascist right-wing conservative who opposes affordable healthcare by shouting at public gatherings.

In other words Joe Wurzelbacher.  (There were a few other definitions, but they were pretty racy.)

Besides as The Week reported back in 2010, the term Teabagger was NOT originally chosen as a derogatory remark by the Liberals.

Here is how the term evolved:

Feb. 27, 2009
At the first anti-stimulus "New American Tea Party" rally in Washington D.C., a protestor carries a sign reading "Tea Bag the Liberal Dems before they Tea Bag You!!" The Washington Independent's David Weigel calls it "the best sign I saw."

March 2
Americans for Prosperity, an anti-tax group, is one of the first Tea Party organizations to advocate sending tea bags to elected officials to protest the stimulus package. Several other lobby groups follow suit.

April 1
Several Tea Party protest sites encourage readers to "Tea bag the fools in DC." Jay Nordlinger at National Review Online later admits: "Conservatives started [using the term]... but others ran and ran with it."

April 9
Rachel Maddow is the first to mock the Tea Party's use of the phrase on her left-leaning MSNBC show. "Even Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina is getting in on the hot tea-bagging action," she says, stifling laughter. (Watch Rachel Maddow joke about the "tea baggers")

So like all Teabaggers Wurzelbacher is just upset that his group was so ignorant that they chose an easily mocked sexual term to describe themselves that the Left Wing will not let them forget.

Oh well, deal with it!

However if Wurzelbacher wants to avoid being mocked in the future he might think about not posting articles with headlines like these:

The NAACP Is A Racists Bigoted Organization

The Republican Establishment wants the IRS harassing the Tea Parties more than the Democrats

Obama’s despotic rule: Montesquieu knew this would happen

Let's face it, much like Trig, Joe the Plumber was a tool of the Republican party, and once they are done with you they simply toss you aside.

If he wants to fit in with his new, and possibly more liberal, co-workers he might want to think about no longer carrying water for the conservatives, and start thinking of who it is that is working to help the middle class union members.

Here's a hint, it sure as hell is not the Republican party!

Joe the Plumber has a talk show? WTF?

This looks like something put together by a bunch of middle kids. And no, not the bright middle school kids!

I don't know which part amazes me the most, that people expect this idiot to talk AND make sense, or that there are people willing to appear on camera with him.

Quick somebody check their Bible and let me know if this is one of the signs of the Apocalypse, because I am pretty sure it must be.

Even Joe the Plumber cannot bring himself to endorse Palin for 2012.

When asked about whether Palin should run for President in 2012, this was
Wurzelbacher's response:

"I hope she doesn't (run) because I think she could do a lot for America outside of office," Wurzelbacher said. "And I think she could rally Americans to get together and make some changes from the grassroots level. I think she could be an incredible rallying point, and I think that's where she could serve America best."

Translation: "Oh hell no! That woman is a menace! Have you seen how she treats that baby? Can you imagine if she treated our country with such carelessness? I would not even let her get her hands on my Plumber's snake, much less my country!"

(Disclamer: The opinions expressed on this blog may not EXACTLY represent the opinions of, fake plumber and political tool, Joe Wurzelbacher but again they just might!)

Update: Dennis just sent me this picture of Chuck Heath (Sarah's dad.)

I wonder how he feels about that shirt NOW?

You know you just can't make this stuff up.

Joe the Plumber lowers the journalistic bar in Israel.

Joe the Plumber has set aside his wrenches to become a rookie war correspondent, covering Israel's side of its two-week-old military offensive in Gaza.

Well I made fun of Joe the Plumber quite a bit during the campaign, and even more when I found out he was going to practice "journalism" in Israel. But perhaps I have been too quick to judge, maybe he really has what it takes to be a reporter.

Wurzelbacher's status as a rookie was evident when he stood in front of a pile of spent rockets and said: "I have thousands of questions but I can't think of the right one."

Nope I was right the first time, this guy is an unbelievable tool. A plumber's tool if you will.

What he could summon was contempt for Israel's critics, who are outraged by the more than 870 Palestinians killed in Israel's bruising air and ground onslaught against Gaza's Islamic militant Hamas rulers. Thirteen Israelis have also died since the operation began, including four killed by the rocket fire that touched off the war in the first place.

"Why hasn't Israel acted sooner?" Wurzelbacher asked. "I know if I were a citizen here, I'd be damned upset."

Let me see. Israel has lost 13 of its citizens to Palestine's 870, and "Joe the Plumber's tool" cannot understand how that might make some people upset at Israel for using excessive force?

Oh FOX News is going to LOVE this guy!

And not only is Joe completely prejudicial in his "coverage" of this event, but he is also clearly incapable of understanding how this battle is any different then a bar fight back home.

He described himself as a "peaceloving man," but added, "when someone hits me, I'm going to unload on the boy. And if the rest of the world doesn't understand that, then I'm sorry."

Let's see if I can help Mr. Wurzelbacher. "Hey Joe, can I call you "Joe"? Or would you rather I use your real name, Sam? Oh I guess it doesn't really matter that your name is just as phony as your war coverage. "

"But I digress."

"Back to the point. the difference between your reaction to a guy pushing you in a bar and what Israel has done in answer to the Palestinians, is that I assume you would not shoot the bar guy in the head and then drive to his house and kill his wife and kids. Would you Joe? Do you think THAT is the proper response to being provoked?"

Israel has used an excessive amount of force to deal with a handful of militants. They have killed innocent women and children as they lashed out in their rage. The rest of the Muslim community is now incensed and ready to rise up against Israel. This just adds more fuel to the fire until it threatens to endanger the entire world.

I am certainly not excusing the actions of the Palestinians who fired the rockets into Israel, I am simply saying is does not help Israel to be seen by the world as overly aggressive and bloodthirsty.

It is time for cooler heads to prevail.

I think that regardless of his desire not to step on George Bush's toes, Barack Obama simply HAS to step up and help reopen the dialogue between Israel and Palestine.

And when he does, make sure that Joe the Plumber is nowhere around. That guy is in an idiot.

The Daily Show, A Presidential Rogues gallery, and Joe the Plumber chooses his final resting place.

You know I sometimes have trouble "pronounciating" some names as well. For instance I am just not sure I am pronounciating "douchebag" correctly.

Does that sound right to you Joe?

Well does it you "your fifteen minutes of fame has been over for a month, why is anybody still talking about you" douchebag?

I promised I would NEVER write another word about him but get this, they are sending Joe the Plumber to Israel as a war correspondent! I kid you not!

Joe The Plumber is putting down his wrenches and picking up a reporter’s notebook.

The Ohio man who became a household name during the presidential campaign says he is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for the conservative Web site

Samuel J. Wurzelbacher says he’ll spend 10 days covering the fighting

He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants to let Israel’s “‘Average Joes’ share their story.”

To say my mind is spinning would be the very definition of the word "understatement".

I could NEVER have seen this coming.

I am not sure WHY anybody wants to send an unqualified person to report on such a complicated issue in such a dangerous environment, I don't understand WHY Wurzelbacher would accept such a job, and I don't understand WHO would really care to read whatever "reporting" was posted on the internet by this "plumber's tool".

Who is sitting at home thinking to themselves "You know what I REALLY want to read? I want to read the opinions of an American wannabe plumber about a conflict of biblical proportions that has confounded the greatest journalistic and political minds of our generation"?

What fresh perspective is Wurzelbacher going to provide? "Well the Palestinian plumbing is clearly outdated and substandard. I think the solution to this entire problem is to install copper piping in all of the homes on the West Bank. With increased water flow I am confident that a cease fire is definitely within reach."

Is it okay to come back out of the rabbit hole yet?

Why is "Joe the Plumber" more important then everybody else in the country?

Well all I have to add is that "Gryphen the blogger" does not give two shits about what "Joe the Plumber" has to say about ANYTHING!

Joe is clearly in the McCain camp and there was nothing that Obama could say to change his mind.

Update: Apparently this Joe the Plumber guy voted Republican in the last election, and therefore is NOT an Independent. He also does not make more then $250,000 which means Obama's tax plan would save him more money then McCain's would. And by the way Joe is so against paying more taxes that he had a lien placed against him for not paying the ones he owed in the past. So are tax-evading, unlicensed plumbers, who misrepresent their income McCain's demographic? How many of those can there be in the country?
