The SarahPAC filings are in and Palin's political pole dancing continues to underwhelm her once fanatical supporters.

So this is living vibrantly.
Courtesy of Roll Call:

A former Republican Party Vice Presidential nominee has used her political action committee to cover more than $700,000 in expenses for her continuing activities.

Sarah PAC, the political action committee of former 2008 Republican Party nominee for Vice President Sarah Palin, reported it had receipts of $717,264 and disbursements of $713,551 during the last six months of 2013.

The PAC had $1,117,684 cash on hand at the end of the year. The PAC spent $242,673 on direct mail and postage; $101,500 on consultants; $69,000 on consultants for fundraising and compliance; $35,750 on research; $26,000 on speechwriting; and $9,909 on Harper Collins books for donors; among other expenditures. The report stated the PAC “did no advocacy.”

The PAC gave $5,000 on 10/8 to Lonegan for Senate in the New Jersey Senate special election. (The PAC also donated donated $5,000 to Rep. Jason Smith.)

On the plus side this is a slight improvement over her last filing which showed that SarahPAC actually brought in less($460,537) than they spent ($496,505).

Hard to get too excited however over a PAC that barely breaks even.

And can you believe that Palin made the PAC  buy almost $10,000 worth of her crappy book? I think that just about accounts for about a third of the books that were sold.

It is also worth noting that Palin continues to eat away at her reserves. As of this filing she has $1,117,684 on hand while at the end of her last filing she had $1,113971.25 available.

At that rate she will be back to giving handjobs at the Mugshot Saloon for drinks and cocaine before you know it.

In 2013, Sarah PAC spent almost as much money on candidates then it did on Sarah's last book. When will Sarah PAC's contributors realize that they have been duped?

It's all rather circular, isn't it? She pays her ghostwriter from funds sent to her PAC by her "fans" who then for a $100 donation to the PAC get a signed copy of her ghostwritten book which she purchased for them with money that they sent to her PAC.

The grift is falling flat though, however people like Exodus and Pete and iDesign2 are still arguing that she's running in 2016 and will smack down anyone that speaks to the contrary. I'm sorry guys but you all need to break out the big bucks because your candidate ain't gonna be able to run a campaign bringing in 700 grand each 6 months.

As it relates to the book, the way that I see it is:
      1. People send the PAC money to help her "cause"
      2. SP gets a minimum guarantee (MG) from the publisher to which she pocket's the money
      3. SP used the PAC money to pay the ghostwriter
      4. SP then uses the PAC to buy books (to basically cover the MG. Anything above it turns into royalties for SP, which she pockets and helps the Amazon book rankings,
      5. If you send SP at least $100, she autographs it and sends it out via postage
      6. The PAC pays for the photographer and perhaps splits some of the promotional expenses with the publisher.

"$242,673 on direct mail and postage"?

I would be very curious to see some examples of these so-called, "direct mailings..."

Mail - male, taking care, directly, of a young boy who needs taking care of.

Sarah loves word-play, using the French word for Red Neck, or Todd's FeK9 (Iron Dog). Looking at the on-line dictionaries, another word for postage is mail drop (dropping off the male). Face value sounds interesting, too.

It's easy to think like Sarah. Postage = stamp = emblem, token, symbol, hallmark, brand. Some little prop served that purpose for Sarah during the 2008 election. That little male defined her. Now, his care costs the PAC a bundle. He was and is a political expense. Of course, that's just my opinion, and Track is fighting over there, protecting my first amendment right to express my opinion.

Track is not "over there" anymore, and when he was he was driving big shots around The gop claims the USPS is going broke, but the large amount this scam artist claims she pays for "postage" seems to be keeping the Wasilla post office in business. SHOW us the receipts. Maybe Chuckles Sr. is listed as their mailman, collecting the "mailing funds"??

How can a PAC use near $250,000 worth of direct mail and postage in a six-month period? It does not seem possible. That would be around $41,000 per month, over $1,000 per day.

Over $1,000 per day? If she's using her PAC's cash to send her personal books to donors, it's highway robbery. Asking people for donations, asking the same people to buy her books, asking people to donate again and pay much more for an autographed book, and then use the money they donate to send it back to them. She's laughing all the way to the bank.

I wonder how often audits are done on PACs across the nation?

It surely looks as though we should all run for any office, establish a PAC and use it for living expenses as long as we can - all the while calling them something else (postage/consulting, etc.)! What a rip off to our U.S. government! Is there something in place that actually allows for these politicians to handle their PACs in this manner?

Plus, these politicians (of which Sarah is no longer!) gets special postage rates (much lower as compared to the everyday American). It's all bullshit!

Sarah Palin is using the system and getting away with it! How in the hell does that happen? Same as to Todd being a pimp!!! Why hasn't he been arrested and taken to trial ?

You cannot tell me that Sarah didn't know about Todd's use of prostitutes and being involved in the business. The prostitutes were provided to members of the FBI, Secret Service, Anchorage Police and politicians.

I keep waiting for the doors to hit Sarah and Todd (Bristol too!) in their asses.

      It's NOT postage.
Here's how it works: Go to the post office. Buy money order with cash from PAC. Get receipt that says "USPS." Give money orders to staff, family, etc. File receipts as "postage." It's money laundering, pure and simple, but on a much larger scale.

A good deal of that money was spent to promote Sarah's book. The PAC would have been paying for Willow and Piper to accompany Sarah, along with her photographer and some other people. Those were pretty big travel expenses. I hope that the donors to her PAC who got their free book appreciate just how much they actually paid for it. That's because you thought it was a book about Christmas, but Sarah cleverly wove the political threat against Christmas and Christians. She wove her political point of view through what was supposed to be warm fuzzy memories of playing steal the present. And, she gave some political speeches along the way (Billy Graham Library for example), so she needed to bring a whole crew-- Willow to do her hair, Piper (to hand her the books), the photographer, some guy who made arrangements, it's a very expensive business for Sarah to keep promoting herself, while she has fewer and fewer opportunities to promote herself. It appears the PAC deceptively underpaid RAM by $4,000.00 in a move to make it look like expenses were lower. For all of 2013, RAM received 11 payments of $6,000 and 1 of $2,000 in December. (There was also an $8000 payment for a lost check in Jan.)

Or, possibly, RAM was 'let go.'

The PAC may have similarly underpaid Jason Recher (Northstar Strategies). His regular monthly payment was $7,500 but he only received $2,000 in Dec..

Sarah Pac isn't a super Pac, it's a leadership Pac; they are governed by different rules and if you can believe it Super Pacs are even more lenient on the donation amounts and allow corporate donations, which leadership Pacs do not.

A leadership Pac such as Palin's is simply a place for like-minded people to make donations and in turn Palin promises to support like-minded candidates through any kind of support: mailers, speeches, not necessarily just financial support.

For example, on June 1 and June 2, 2013, SarahPAC spent $1,696.23 for hotel rooms at the Davenport Hotel, a luxury hotel in Spokane, Washington. The rooms were booked in conjunction with Palin giving the commencement speech in the tiny town of Republic, Washington. Following requests from a social-media campaign, the former Alaska governor agreed to speak to Republic High’s graduating class of 26.

When Sarah's PAC paid Sally $3,000. for postage, did Sally declare that as income? Sally Heath is not a postmaster (or postmistress) selling US postage stamps. If Sally didn't report the income, that's a problem. If they ignored the letter, or worse, if Sarah said that she'd take care of it and they didn't do anything, then there is a second letter and then a third. Sarah's spending a lot more than $3,000. for stamps, thank you Sally Heath.
