Courtesy of ABC News:
President Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin discussed efforts to bring peace to war-torn Syria during an hour-plus phone call on Tuesday. Iran, North Korea and Ukraine also were on the agenda, the White House said.
Trump called it a "great call" Tuesday afternoon as he left the White House to spend Thanksgiving in Florida. Noting the length, he said he and Putin spoke "very strongly about bringing peace to Syria" and "very strongly about North Korea."
Trump's phone call with the Russian president came a day after Putin met with Syrian President Bashar Assad. Putin hosted Assad at a Black Sea resort ahead of a summit later this week with Russia, Turkey and Iran. Assad was called to Russia to get him to agree to potential peace initiatives drafted by the other three countries, the Kremlin said.
The Kremlin said Putin briefed Trump in the phone call about his talks with Assad and plans for a political settlement in Syria. Putin also called for coordination of anti-terror efforts with the U.S., the Kremlin said, adding that Afghanistan was also discussed.
"Putin briefed Trump in the phone call about his talks with Assad and plans for a political settlement in Syria."
Did you catch that?
That does not say that Trump and Putin brainstormed the best response to the situation in Syria. That literally says that Putin told Trump what he was fucking doing, and expected Trump to fucking keep his mouth shut about it.
Keep in mind that America and Russia went into Syria originally for different reasons.
President Obama sent the military in to support the rebels who had been gassed by Assad, and Putin sent his military in to support Assad against the "terrorists."
Essentially Putin just bent Trump over and had him grab his ankles on this one.
Courtesy of Politico:
Trump may not care: He has said privately that he considers Syria to be Obama’s failure and that he sees little the U.S. can do about it now, according to a person briefed on one of his conversations. That view was reflected in Trump’s decision earlier this year to cancel a covert CIA program that armed moderate Syrian rebels fighting Assad’s regime.
So now the people of Syria, who America promised to support, have been left to the mercy of two iron fisted dictators who do not give a shit about them.
The dotard is over his head and the world knows.
ReplyDeleteTherefore he continues to sabotage anything Obama. He is a fucking embarrassment to the intelligent community!
Trump is a traitor to the USA and should be dealt with accordingly.
He should be tried for treason, for which he'd be found guilty! And, then we'd finally see him impeached and sent to the slammer. The orange prison suit would match his obese face!
DeleteHe can save his ass. IF he wants to. But I think he hates his "Job". He doesn't like "working" for anyone.
DeleteSo he's going to push it. ;)

Accused Nazi War Criminal Is a ‘Lifelong Republican’ Who Gave Thousands to GOP
ReplyDeleteA Minnesota man accused of committing war crimes when he commanded a Nazi-led unit during World War II contributed thousands of dollars to the Republican National Committee, a Daily Beast review of federal campaign records found.
Michael Karkoc is wanted for arrest in Poland after the country’s war crimes prosecutors said they are “100 percent” certain that Karkoc commanded a SS company and that there was “no doubt” that his men razed two Polish villages, killing 40 civilians. In July, Poland requested Karkoc’s extradition from the U.S. and is waiting for a decision. (The Justice Department said it does not comment on extradition requests.)
In June 2013, the Associated Press reported Karkoc was a SS officer and that one of his men told Soviet investigators that his unit had been ordered to “liquidate all the residents” of the village of Chlaniow, Poland, resulting in the deaths of men, women and children.
After the AP published its exposé, Karkoc made three separate contributions to the Republican National Committee totaling $3,850 between September 2013 and May 2014. These are the only federal campaign contributions he has made, according to available records.
The RNC did not respond to a request for comment.
Karkoc’s son, Andriy Karkos, told The Daily Beast the contributions were made only because Karkoc has been a “lifelong Republican.”
“He has a picture of Ronald and Nancy Reagan in his bedroom,” Karkos said.

You need to go back to the Arab Spring movement where you will see US Ambassador was involved in Syrian movement. I am glad he did not get troops involved(because of the chemical weapons accusation) but disappointed he pushed over 300 tons of weapons munitions and equipment to guys who turned most it over to ISIS & AQ Syria after being trained in Jordan and sent to the front, thats the kind of stuff that gets a lot of civilians killed.
ReplyDeleteI seriously doubt trump has the attention span for an hour plus phone call.

LISTEN: British journalist details the ‘constellation of Russian connections circling around planet Trump’
ReplyDelete...“You write that the Russians had their eyes on Donald Trump as early as the 1970s when he married Ivana Trump, who is from Czechoslovakia Why were they keeping an eye on him in the ’70s? What were they looking for?” Gross asked Luke Harding, author of the new book “Collusion” on President Donald Trump, Russia and the dossier compiled by former MI-6 spy Christopher Steele.
“Well, the KGB really forever has been interested in cultivating people, actually, who might be useful contacts for them, identifying targets for possible recruitments possibly to be agents. That’s not saying that Donald Trump is an agent, but the point is that he would have been on their radar certainly by 1977 when he married Ivana, who came from Czechoslovakia, a kind of communist Eastern bloc country,” Harding explained. “And we know from Czechoslovak spy records de-classified last year that the spy agencies were in contact with Ivana’s father, that they kept an eye on the Trumps in Manhattan throughout the 1980s.”
The pattern could go back even further, as Raw Story reported Sunday.
“But I think what’s kind of interesting about this story, if you understand the kind of Russian espionage background, is Trump’s first visit to Soviet Moscow in 1987. He went with Ivana,” Harding noted. “He talks about getting an invitation from the Soviet government to go over there. And he makes it seem kind of rather casual. But what I discovered from my research is that there was actually a concerted effort by the Soviet government via the ambassador at the time, who was newly arrived, a guy called Yuri Dubinin, to kind of charm Trump, to flatter him, to woo him almost.”
“And Dubinin’s daughter, sort of who was part of this process, said that the ambassador rushed up to the top of Trump Tower, basically kind of breezed into Trump’s office and he melted. That’s the verb she used. He melted,” Harding repeated.
“That Trump melted when he was flattered?” Gross clarified.
“Yeah. That Trump melted with this kind of flattery,” Harding replied. “And several months later, he gets an invitation to go on an all-expenses-paid trip behind the Iron Curtain to Soviet Moscow.”
Harding noted the trip was arranged by Intourist, which “is basically the KGB.”
Harding was expelled from Russia in 2011 for unfavorable press coverage of the Kremlin. In her intro, Gross noted that Harding “learned a lot about Russian espionage partly through his own experience of being spied on and harassed.”
“You know, we can’t say that Trump was recruited in 1987. But what we can say with absolute certainty is there was a very determined effort by the Soviets to bring him over, and that moreover, his personality was the kind of thing they were looking for,” Harding explained. “They were looking for narcissists. They were looking for people who were kind of – dare I say it – corruptible, interested in money, people who were not necessarily faithful in their marriages and also sort of opportunists who were not very strong analysts or principle people.”
“And if you work your way down the list through these sort of – the KGB’s personality questionnaire, Donald Trump ticks every single box,” Harding concluded.
In fact, the very idea of Donald Trump running for office may have originated during his 1987 Moscow trip.

DeleteA Russian Journalist Explains How the Kremlin Instructed Him to Cover the 2016 Election
ReplyDeleten a recent Saturday in November, Dimitri Skorobutov, a former editor at Russia’s largest state media company, sat in a bar in Maastricht, a college town in the Netherlands, with journalists from around the world and discussed covering Donald Trump. Skorobutov opened a packet of documents and explained that they were planning guides from Russian state media that showed how the Kremlin wanted the 2016 U.S. Presidential election covered.
Among the journalists, Skorobutov’s perspective was unique. Aside from Fox News, no network worked as hard as Rossiya, as Russian state TV is called, to boost Donald Trump and denigrate Hillary Clinton. Skorobutov, who was fired from his job after a dispute with a colleague that ended in a physical altercation, went public with his story of how Russian state media works, in June, talking to the U.S. government-funded broadcaster Radio Liberty. The organizers of the Maastricht conference learned of his story and invited him to speak. He flipped through his pages and pointed to the coverage guide for August 9, 2016, when Clinton stumbled while climbing some steps. The Kremlin wanted to play the story up big.

‘Art of the Deal’ writer nails Trump’s LaVar Ball feud: He is ‘half awed and half frightened by black people’
ReplyDelete“What is it about Lavar Ball that bothers the president…so much? Is it what he said or as some are alleging, how he looks?” Berman asked.
“Both. First of all, his father is a tall black man and I think Trump is half awed and half frightened by black people and his only way of dealing with them is to attack them,” explained Tony Schwartz, who co-wrote “The Art of The Deal” with Trump.
“And, on the other hand, I think he has a zero tolerance for any criticism of any kind, that’s why he goes after anybody that says virtually anything about him that’s negative,” Schwartz explained.
“Awed and afraid of black people. That’s a big statement, based on what?” Schwartz asked.
“I watched him. he was unequivocally awed during the many times I saw him with members of the team he owned in the UCFL and when he sponsored prize fights,” Schwartz explained. “I think he had this ambivalent relationship where he wished he could have been an athlete like they were.”
“And on the other hand, if he felt fear, he always felt aggression and a need to put them down,” Schwartz observed.

"“We have to notice who he responds to, he will go after someone who he can frame perfectly, often for his base,” D’Antonio suggested. “So, in this case, this is yet another member of the black community, also someone connected to the world of sports.”
Delete“There is this desire I think to find the right person to go after who fits a certain template. He doesn’t go after little guys who happen to be white, I’ve noticed that. He kind of leaves those folks alone,” "
