President Bush's high-profile meeting with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Wednesday was canceled in a stunning turn of events after disclosure of U.S. doubts about the Iraqi leader's capabilities and a political boycott in Baghdad protesting his attendance.
Maliki is screwed three ways to Sunday right now. He pissed off al-Sadr who then pulled back his support and now he is about to piss off Georgie who might just say "well fuck you then" and finally do what the American people want, and pull our troops out of Iraq. Anybody want to give odds on how long it will take before Maliki gets his head cut off if that happens?
Maliki should just cut his losses and try to get across the border to Iran. This is just not going to end well for him.
