I think this is a good place to post the following. Remember every time a toddler kills himself or another person with a gun lying around and the authorities say, "It was a tragic accident, no charges will be filed"? Contrast that to this article:
ReplyDeletehttp://katu.com/news/local/portland-man-charged-in-2-year-old-nephews-overdose-death
A child find's his uncle's methadone and injests it and dies and the uncle is quickly charged with second-degree manslaughter, negligent homicide, criminal mistreatment, and heroin possession charges.
Tragic story, definitely. Should the guy be charged, almost certainly. The thing I wanted to point out is that he gets charged without hesitation because it was drugs, but if he had left a gun out on a table and the kid ended up dead that way, it would be just another "tragic accident".
(Oh, and the family is black, but that wouldn't make a difference, would it?)
Doesn't make a difference what color they are, if people are that dumb then their offspring need not achieve an age whereby they can make more stupids.
DeleteGuns solve a lot of evolutionary dilemmas.
