Last night's Countdown had a crazy Teabagger roundup! And guess which teacher insulting ex-half term governor is also featured?

You know I don't think I am going to get tired of watching that video any time soon.

Yet another WTF moment - opened my NY Daily News this morning, and this headline was staring at me:

Levi Johnston for Mayor of Wasilla?!

    WTF !?!?!

    Here's the article:

LOS ANGELES - He struck out twice with her
daughter, now he wants a shot at her old job.

Levi Johnston is set to star in a new reality project
chronicling - get this folks - his surprise run for

    mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

That's the same office Sarah Palin held before she
became governor, a position that later launched her
to the national stage as the failed GOP
    veep candidate.

The show's announcement comes just days after
Palin's daughter Bristol, 19, broke off her second
engagement to Johnston citing his insatiable thirst
    for the limelight.

"The more I think about it and look into it, I think
there's a possibility we can make it happen,"
    Johnston told Variety.com.

"It's something I want to do," he said of his
    improbable run for public office.

The project is under development at Stone and
Company Entertainment, the same production house
that brought us Ivana Trump's "Ivana Young Man" in
    2006.

Titled "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office,"
it will chronicle Johnston's dual pursuits in
Hollywood and his "red-neck" life as a single dad,
skilled hunter, avid biker and wannabe politician
looking for love and success back home in Alaska,
according to a Stone and Co. press release.

It might not be as far-fetched as it sounds, the
    company claims, considering Wasilla's current
mayor won with just 466 votes.

Johnston, 20, parlayed his fame from the 2008
    presidential campaign into a headline-grabbing s
plit with Bristol, a public feud with her mom, a
spread in Playgirl - and a madcap appearance in an
episode of "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List."

He and Bristol were back in the news last month with
a shocking US Magazine cover announcing their
on-again engagement. But the rekindled romance
was short-lived, falling apart shortly after the
National Enquirer reported that Johnston's ex-
    girlfriend, Lanesia Garcia, was pregnant.

Garcia has vowed Johnston is not the father, but
Bristol told People.com that Johnston had "no
remorse" after he admitted the dalliance and
possible pregnancy the very same day they
announced their secret wedding plans with splashy
photos featuring their 20-month-old son, Tripp.

"The final straw was him flying to Hollywood for
what he told me was to see some hunting show but
come to find out it was that music video mocking my
family," Bristol told People.com in a tearful interview.
"He's just obsessed with the limelight, and I got
    played."

Johnston, meanwhile, attended the Teen Choice
Awards in Los Angeles Sunday with Brittani Senser,
the R&B singer behind the video in which he'll co-
    star.

The video, reportedly shooting this week, is about
two lovers driven apart by the woman's meddling
    mother.

Sorry so long, but Gustafson must be defended. (I also posted this on Palingates.)

The Palinistas are out, hot and heavy, to discredit Gustafson - claiming she is not a teacher but a "theater tech" and gay, to boot.

However, these two good posts on GatewayPundit/FirstThings clarify:

Ahem – “Theater Tech” is the name of the class. It teaches highschoolers how to create sets, lighting plans, build props, etc. Her collegue Amy Christenson isn’t a “Music” and Mark Robinson isn’t a “Choir” all by himself. The word that follows their names is most likely the name of the class they teach.

And she’s not a singer in a Drag Queen band, she’s obviously performing in the stage play “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” If she was in the Sound of Music, would you claim she was an Austrian au pair?

But, let’s suppose she really was both just a theater tech and a singer in a drag queen rock band – so what?

Palin showed little class in talking with someone who disagreed with her. She mocked her openly, rolled her eyes when she heard her profession and when the camera was off, her people tore down the sign that Sarah was supposedly working to protect.

Ok, just a couple things to point out, you might want to consider making these points as questions rather than stating them as facts in order to protect yourself. Theater Tech at a school is simply the new name from Drama teacher. The Master’s degree that drama teachers get include a lot of technical training. (this is different from the Bachelors). There are two Theater Tech’s listed on the Homer high school directory, (Gustafson being one) but no “Drama Teacher”
So, she probably is the Drama teacher. Gustafson is listed as having a teaching certificate since 1995 in Alaska- so even if she is not teaching this year, she can still be considered a teacher since she just renewed her certification.
Also, Hedwig and the Angry Itch is a hugely popular musical, later made into an award winning movie- so it makes sense that the high school drama teacher would direct a community play. It’s not really a “drag band”. You have to be careful these days, I understand the point you are trying to make, but you need to do it without looking like you are lying or it could backfire.

On SP's FB page they are saying that the teacher that called out Palin is not a teacher, but works as a tech in a drag queen club.Where is that coming from?

Even if that is true, does it really change anything? Palin was still rude and condescending, and her daughter is an ill-mannered potty mouth.

    Pedro for Mayor

  7. This was great. Palin didn't get top billing, but was lumped in with two other whack jobs, all three equally codendrumish.

  8. And, if Levi Johnston is running for Mayor of Wasilla he certainly has all the necessary qualifications: good looking, inarticulate, dumber than a rock.

For some reason the video I see here in Thailand has a Dr discussing climate change, and while interesting and important, there is nothing about the tea baggers.

Tea Party love to manipulate the LSM, try and inflate their numbers and are disingenuous at best with what they represent under the pretense of respectability.

That the Palinbots are still trying to spin the Gustafson confrontation as a plus for the "gutsy" former quitting half-term Governor resonates with normal thinking people. Real Americans.

Gustafson did not 'disagree' with Sarah's politics, didn't even talk about politics, social issues or leanings at all. This wasn't about Sarah's political platform (whatever that is, constitution, military. . .mumble, niner) she was simply holding her former Governor accountable for letting down her constituents and State she swore to serve.

My goodness Sarah, we all know why you quit, quit makin things up and tryin to say you are Fighting for Alaska, the United States and the constitution. You wouldn't know the constitution or the bill of rights if it bit you on your skinny A$$.

I'm disappointed that KO did not show the part where Kathleen tells Palin that(and I paraphrase) Palin took an oath on the Bible, and when Palin gushed "Oh you want me to be your gov?" Kathleen said, "No, I wanted you to live up to your obligatios."

And what about the part about the Palin mob tearing the sign down?
