Chick-Fil-A poses as a teenage girl on Facebook. Because you know, there's NOTHING creepy about that!

As I mentioned earlier Chick-Fil-A posted the above notice on their store windows in an attempt to cover for the fact that the Jim Henson company dissolved their marketing deal due to their COO Dan Cathy's anti-gay comments.

However that, as it turns out, was not the end of their attempts to convince customers that it was THEIR idea to stop putting the Jim Henson Creature Shop Puppets in their kids meals.

They then went to Facebook:

Yep, you are seeing that right. In order to convince people that they ended the relationship with the Henson company, and not the other way around, they used a stock photo to help them pretend to be a teenage girl who TOTALLY knows the company stopped putting the toys in the meals weeks before the announcement by the Jim Henson people. You know, TOTALLY!

I actually do not have much more to add, except to ask, "Aren't these people supposed to be setting an example as to how upstanding Christians conduct business?"

If so that would be referred to as an EPIC FAIL!

That is one of the most creepiest things I've ever seen.
Well not the most---but I don't eat fast food.

    That isn't true.

I don't understand the hate towards them. They are a privatized company. I see no boycotts regarding MTV and other despicable gross vehicles for immoral behavior. Why all the hate for a company that believe sin 1. no debt 2. no discrimination in business practices and 3. giving back

So sad for this country that one is accepted and the other maligned. It's not like Chickfila has control over legislators decisions. Are there impending bills for gay marriage? Are there pliticians/leaders in office working on a bill?

    You're all screwed up.

    3. No, what's screwed up is that a company that professes to espouse biblical principles had no problem bearing false witness (one of the commandments) against another company, and then compounded that lie by setting up false accounts to claim that removal of the toys had nothing to do with the cancellation of the agreement by the Henson company.

They may not discriminate against customers but do they discriminate against employees?

      Shameful.

Your flirtation with proper use of the English language betrays you as just another Palinista. A company is private or public - it is not privatized unless it was public and was taken private. Before you post your drivel please work harder on your lack of mastery of our language. Palin supporters specialize in trying to sound smarter and more articulate; using "big" words. It's an epic fail because you come off as some 12 year old who has failed remedial English.

The chick fil closeby had a near empty parking lot at the dinner rush last evening and Monday. That lot is usually full at that time as is the drive thru. Both were almost empty...LOL! Love it!

I just realized that it was Gizmodo that broke this story.

Now Chik-Fil-A claims they had nothing to do with the fake FB account.

Either someone pwned Gizmodo, or more likely, Chik-Fil-A is in for a world of butthurt.

One of my favorite responses to Chick-fil-A's bigotry is the youtube video posted by Hilah Cooking entitled 'Chick-Fil-Gay'. She shows people how to make their own chickfila sandwich at home...looks yummy!

I am so sick of these self righteous pseudo Christian putzes and I am glad people are doing the right thing and boycotting them. I had heard a few years ago that they were blatantly homophobic and quit them at that time. I don't know why it is just being made public now but it will be fun to see if they start trying to do damage control.

Chick fil-A is only digging their hole deeper with this last attempt. "Robert" really busted them in this desperate attempt, and no one will trust what they say anymore. "Abby" posting "John 3:16" after her comment was even a more stupid move on their part which only made it look like she was lying and trying to do her fellow Christian a favor. But Robert, to his credit wasn't buying any of it and looked even deeper and found who was really posting the comment.

    http://www.vulture.com/2012/07/vultures-very-short-conversation-with-sarah-palin.html

VULTURE: So the Palin family has now taken part in at least four reality shows since 2008. Are reality shows the new means of communications in politics, the new way to stay close to your base? I mean, Todd's not doing it for the money with Stars Earn Stripes...

SARAH PALIN: I'm certainly not doing it for the money, no!

VULTURE: So why do you all say "yes" to these shows?

SARAH PALIN: Our family's mantra is to live life vibrantly. And participating in a show like this, especially for Todd, is exactly that. It is living life vibrantly. Having the offer come from Mark Burnett, who is the best of the best, and having worked with him successfully on Sarah Palin's Alaska, [we] had a great connection with Mark to start with. That's what opened the door for us to even consider the idea of doing a show like this. But first and foremost, knowing the cause, honoring our troops and first responders … it was a no-brainer. And we had promised that we would do all that we could, through the different doors that have been opened, to honor our home state of Alaska and the resources that we have up there, that can be shared with the rest of the nation, and to honor our troops. So this show ...

  17. When Tuscaloosa was devastated by the killer tornado last year, Samaritans Purse was pretty much the only game in town to do relief work. I worked through them until it became evident that the real "triage" work had been accomplished. After a few weeks the clean up work we were being sent out to do was not tornado related, it was to suck people into the church..that was my "signal to leave" ..I found this E-mail from Franklin Graham in my spam folder today:

Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy with Franklin Graham in 2010.

Stand with Chick-fil-A on August 1 in Support of Traditional Marriage

    DEAR FRIEND,

Just a few days ago, Dan Cathy, President of Chick-fil-A, affirmed his stance on the sanctity of traditional marriage. The restaurant chain has been, and continues to be, under a concerted attack from same-sex marriage advocates.

I applaud the courage of Cathy to take a bold stand for the biblical definition of marriage between a man and woman in a culture that has grown openly hostile to the Christian faith and its followers.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has called for a National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day on Wednesday, August 1, to demonstrate support for the company. I would like to join with him, and ask that, if you live near one of their restaurants please drop by and let them know how much you appreciate them and their stand.

I have known Dan and his father, Mr. Truett Cathy, for many years, and I respect how their company was founded upon and operates by Christian values.

In the words of the bold, biblical prophet Daniel who refused to bow to the culture of his day: "The people who know their God will display strength and take action" (Daniel 11:32, NASB).

Thank you and God bless you.

    Sincerely,

    Franklin Graham

I'll give credit where it is due Franklin.... Samratian's purse knows how to react to disaster, but I'll not compromise my principles..I had a hard time being and atheist and wanting to help heal my city....I had the skills and the time to do good for my community .. I'm not as hypocrite... I knew when it was time for me to leave... and I did...
It disgusts me you have taken this stand, though I'm not surprised.....Your E-mails go directly to my spam folder and any "snail mails" I get receive from you go right into the trash

Anon at 9:03, any religion that preaches that any male can become a god themselves or preaches that Jesus and the devil are brothers is NOT Christian. Do some research on what the Mormons believe and you might be changing your tune.

Hmm, could Chick-Fil-A be doing a Mitt or what other tea have done and still do, pay people to be their followers, yet if it's done via more distant channels, then the company can deny that it's them.

Anyway, Chick-Fil-A. Less cow, more chicken, yet definitely full of shit (including the chemicals and other nasty stuff in their so called food).

I doubt that Jesus would eat Chick-Fil-A, though I'm not a current Christian, I believe in the northern sane version of Christianity where Jesus would want people to be honest, have integrity, help other people, etc.

Something that Christians in those net taker red states don't do, pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Do what's in their bible, all of it. Yet especially the part about doing good works.

I wonder how much Chick-Fil-A has sucked from taxpayers and government while pretending that it's 100% sustained it's private enterprise.

Sorry, Chick-Fil-A and other venues and people in the USA tea taliban. Yet if one really looks at Jesus, Jesus was a fucking socialist. Which means, you're adoring the wrong guy. Maybe that old testament gawd (who's worse than Satan) is more up your alley. I'm glad I'm not going to heaven. I'd not want to be fucked over by some hateful, wrathful entity for eternity in heaven. Plus, hell has beer and Satan is more like the character in Bigger, Longer, Uncut. He's misunderstood and is more fun than some old testament, insane, sky sadist.

Plus, the holy ghostie along with the son. Heaven seems to be rather incestous. And virgins giving birth. Eeek. Though that also sounds like the Palin family and their female baby factories via their women. Er, lately one woman, Bristol, who's probably had more kids than cats have kittens.

    :)
