Damn the "Christ brigade" sure has their panties in a twist this time!
Pastor Russell Johnson paces across the broad stage as he decries the "secular jihadists" who have "hijacked" America, accuses the public schools of neglecting to teach that Hitler was "an avid evolutionist" and links abortion to children who murder their parents.
Hey I hate to mention this but weren't the members of the Spanish Inquisition Christians? How about the people of Salem during the Witch trials? Wasn't the BK killer a deacon of his church? Making the connection between somebodies religious beliefs, or lack thereof, and their conduct is rarely of any value.
"It's time for the church to get a spinal column" and push the "seculars and the jihadists ... into the dust bin of history," the guest preacher tells a congregation that fills the sanctuary at First Christian Church of Canton.
I don't think I am going to like in the "dustbin of history"! It just sounds so....dusty!
"I like to say I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, I'm a Christ-o-crat," declares Pastor Rod Parsley, a supporter of the Ohio Restoration Project and head of a similar venture called Ohio Reformation. His ministry, housed on a sprawling complex in Canal Winchester, includes the 12,000-member World Harvest Church and the non-profit Center for Moral Clarity.
Now see this makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I mean a "Christ-o-crat"? What the hell is that?
