A Croatian big game hunter was preparing to shoot a lion during a hunting expedition in South Africa when he himself was shot and killed.
Pero Jelinic, whose friends say had "hunted everything that could be hunted in Europe," had already killed one lion and was sighting in a second Saturday at a remote lodge near Setiagole, according to Total Croatia News.
Initially, the bullet that hit Jelinic was described as "stray," but police are now investigating the incident as a possible homicide.
The lions were captive-bred. They had been farm-raised to be hunted in a legal yet controversial sport often called "canned hunting."
Well it's about time the lions started shooting back.
You know I am not much of a fan of hunting in the first place, but what possible challenge is it to kill animals hand raised by other humans?
I mean it would be just as macho as using a high powered rifle to pick off family pets in people's backyards.
Asshole deserves to die.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

New York man who shot and killed woman he mistook for a deer charged with manslaughter.

| Rosemary Billaquist and her murderer. |
A hunter in western New York who mistook a 43-year-old woman for a deer was charged with manslaughter on Thursday.
Rosemary Billquist was walking her dogs the day before Thanksgiving in the town of Sherman when she was shot once by Thomas Jadlowski.
Jadlowski called 911 and stayed with Billquist until help arrived, but she was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital in Pennsylvania.
The 43-year-old Billquist was shot at about 5:30 p.m. It is illegal to hunt big game after sunset or before dawn in New York state.
"Today, Mr. Jadlowski is being held accountable for his dangerous and reckless conduct when he shot his neighbor in the dark," Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos said.
Jadlowski was charged with hunting after hours and second degree manslaughter.
Of course if this had happened in Texas they probably would have charged the woman's corpse with wandering carelessly into the path of a bullet.

Apparently deer are a lot harder to identify than one might imagine.
![]() |
| Hey Jethro, that there look like a deer to you? |
An Ohio man is facing charges after accidentally firing a high-powered rifle at a brown pickup truck he mistook for a deer, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The hunting accident was the second this week in the county and drew a sharp rebuke from Sheriff Joe Gerace, who called Friday’s incident in the town of North Harmony “absolutely irresponsible.”
Deputies charged 26-year-old Marvin C. Miller of Middlefield, Ohio, with second-degree reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm across a roadway. The shooting took place around 11:20 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Robert Merritt, of Springboro, Pa., called 911 to report that the pickup truck he was a passenger in had been struck by a bullet. Merritt and the driver, who was not identified, were on an access road heading toward state land on Wiltsie Road.
Miller told deputies and New York State Environmental Conservation police that he had mistaken the pickup truck for a deer when he fired a round from his 7mm high-powered scoped rifle. The bullet struck the vehicle’s front fender on the driver’s side just a few feet from the cab.
The round entered the engine compartment, disabling the truck, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. After firing the shot, Miller left the woods and checked on the truck’s occupants.
One the one hand this idiot literally mistook a truck for a deer.
On the other hand it WAS a kill shot, so I guess he can take a little pride in his accuracy.
At least this time there was no loss of human life unlike that unfortunate incident in New York.
Now I am not a hunter, as all of you are well aware, however I HAVE seen a deer or two in my time.
I can legitimately say that I have NEVER mistook a motor vehicle, a person, or even a dog, for a deer in my entire life.
I would think that the ability to make such a distinction should be the very first hurdle that somebody had to negotiate before anybody allowed them to have a hunting license or gave them a firearm.

New York man fires at what he thinks is a deer in his backyard, kills 43 year old woman walking her dogs.
Courtesy of WaPo:
A neighbor, Thomas B. Jadlowski, thought he saw a deer in his back yard 200 yards away and fired a single shot. Then he heard a scream. Realizing he’d shot a person, he ran out to help, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office officials said in a news release.
Jadlowski, 34, called 911 and applied pressure to Rosemary Billquist’s wound until paramedics arrived, according to the sheriff’s office. The bullet had traveled through her hip and out her back, Jamie Billquist said. He rode with his wife to a University of Pittsburgh Medical Center facility in Erie, Pa., where she was pronounced dead.
Jadlowski has not been charged and has been cooperating with investigators, officials said. The case will be reviewed by the Chautauqua County district attorney’s office, which will determine whether Jadlowski will face criminal charges. Officials said the shooting occurred less than an hour after sunset, at a time when it’s illegal to hunt, according to the Associated Press.
Shooting after dark, not properly identifying your target, and now a man has lost his wife, and his life will never be the same.
I certainly think that criminal charges are in order here.
Guns are not a tool. Guns do not protect. Guns are simply an instrument of death.
I will never stop saying that.

Well it looks like Todd Palin has made a full, and somewhat miraculous recovery.
Courtesy of the Bride of Frankenstein's Facebook page:
And the men... they brought home dinner.
Fresh organic pure protein from God's green earth. (I can't get skunked! It's my turn next.)
I am usually somewhat underwhelmed with the Toad, but I have to say that this is quite a feat considering that it was only six month ago that he was in intensive care.
Remember Palin's description of his injuries?
He's still in ICU under care of a superbly skilled staff. A long surgery repaired numerous breaks in Todd's upper body, docs essentially lifted and secured every rib with steel bands, anchored the broken clavicle with plates and rods, set aside repair of a broken shoulder for later (also later are more minor things like ACL/MCL knee injuries), still mechanically inflating one collapsed lung while other bruised lung, liver, etc., are watched; chest drain is working overtime to keep things clear.
Numerous breaks, steel bands holding his ribs in place, a deflated lung, these are life threatening injuries.
So even to walk around on pavement without stopping to catch his breath or leaning on something for support is impressive, but to trudge through the Alaskan wilderness while packing 60 to 80 pounds of antlers is quite a feat indeed.
Especially for a fifty two year old man, whose recuperative abilities will have slowed down significantly.
Now before all of you start jumping on Todd for killing this magnificent animal, you need to remember that in Alaska hunting is something that almost EVERY Alaskan male does at least a few times in their lives. And many do it every season.
I have known doctors, lawyers, psychiatrists, bankers, you name it who drop everything during hunting season and head on out to shoot something. And going fishing is almost universal up here, for both sexes.
Now as for Sarah going hunting, that is another story altogether.
Yes Palin certainly does love to have her picture taken with dead things.
But from what I have heard it is quite unlikely that she killed ANY of them.
In fact, according to Levi, Todd is not much of a hunter either, and the trophies on his walls were purchased and not shot by anybody in the family.
However it feeds into Palin's mythology about her family that they are seen as big time hunters.
And she is not above faking a trophy, or a hunt, or just about anything else to further that agenda.
Not that I am saying that is what happened in this case, I am only pointing out that there is a pattern.

Bristol Palin blames hunting for making her who she is today. Damn you hunting!
Courtesy of of some blog that I think might be written by Trig these days:
Hunting has always been a part of my life. It has helped form the person I am today. I am so thankful that my parents took me out into the wilderness and let me explore America the Beautiful. I would hope more and more children have the same experience.
Somebody who may or may not be, or have ever met, Bristol then continues on with 7 ways that hunting made her what she is today.
It's essentially a click bait focused post, so I did not bother going through all seven. (But it appears that she stole most of them. If not all of them.)
However it made me reflect on my one and only hunting trip with my father.
I was sixteen and we were hunting for moose, out of season of course.
As the hunting trip progressed my father got more and more drunk, and less and less appreciative of my inventive moose call which sounded a little bit like this, "MOOSE! Run for your lives, MOOSE! He has a gun!"
Anyhow after I managed to lead us back to the road and convince my father that emptying his rifle at me would probably alert the State Troopers we drove back home together with only the occasional "Not my damn kid" and "That's it I'm getting a blood test" to break the silence.
Later, after the screaming stopped, by dad attempted to explain to me that he was taking me hunting to teach me something about life. I had no idea.
I thought he just wanted to kill something.
Imagine if I had learned the lessons from hunting that Bristol learned from her father.
Then I too could have two different children from two different partners (That we know about.), have a failed reality show career under my belt, be hawking weight loss products on the internet, and currently be married to a person who I tricked into marrying me.
Yep, it would be an entirely different life alright.
In all seriousness even though I have mixed feelings about hunting it does not deserve to be blamed for Bristol Palin.

Sarah Palin recycles old faux hunting photo to convince Wisconsin to vote for Donald Trump.
I think most of you will remember this photo from way back in 2014 posing with a boar that somebody killed for her in Texas.
What this has to do with Wisconsin is anybody's guess, and her Facebook post does not really do much to explain it:
On Wisconsin!
Faith of America is in you to take us forward on Tuesday; to remain strong and independent of the status quo political establishment so your vote will truly represent your optimistic spirit and desire to WORK! Hardworking Wisconsinites deserve much better than a repeat of the establishment's agenda that led to losing this great state to Obama in 2012 - by 200,000 votes! (So choose Donald Trump so you can lose to Hillary Clinton instead!)
The continued games of the permanent political class will assure a Hillary victory unless you tell them "ENOUGH!" and vote for bold, new leadership that puts your interests before party politics. (Actually right now Trump loses to Hillary by significant margins.) Vote for your jobs and security. Vote for the first candidate since Reagan who is growing the Commonsense Conservative movement... the only one who's created middle class jobs... the only one not living off your tax dollars... the only one Wisconsin can count on to steer us away from the rocky shoals ahead. (The one who cheated on his wives, the one who declared bankruptcy several times, the one who thinks a woman should be punished for having an abortion, the one who lies about virtually everything, to virtually everyone, with impunity. Oh, am I not helping?)
Vote for Donald Trump on Tuesday to make America great again.
This is the message shared with diverse Wisconsin voters this weekend, including those of you I'm thrilled to see today at "Zingers and Flingers" Gun Range in Wausau today at 12:30. See you there!
Like I said I am not really sure why she needed a picture of her with a dead animal in order to convince voters to choose Trump, who is not somebody that is usually associated with hunting, but seriously why try to make sense out of things now?
And based on Wisconsin's incredibly chilly reception the two times that Palin announced Trump perhaps a picture of the Donald standing with a gun over HER still steaming carcass would have been more effective.
After all don't forget.
Donald Trump: “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters.”
What this has to do with Wisconsin is anybody's guess, and her Facebook post does not really do much to explain it:

Ted Cruz picks up the coveted Duck Dynasty vote.
Courtesy of MSNBC:
Having determined Republican White House hopeful Ted Cruz uniquely qualified to “make him a good duck gumbo,” controversial reality TV star Phil Robertson officially endorsed the Texas senator for president on Wednesday.
“My qualifications for President of the United States are rather narrow,” said Robertson, the patriarch of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty,” in a video released by the Cruz campaign Wednesday. “Is he or she Godly, does he or she love us, can he or she do the job, and finally would they kill a duck and put him in a pot and make him a good duck gumbo?”
“I’ve looked at the candidates,” Robertson said. “Ted Cruz is my man.”
Seeing Ted Cruz dressed head to toe in camouflage, with little red earplugs and black grease paint on his face, may be one of the most absurd images of this election cycle.
Last night Rachel Maddow called this perhaps the most effective GOP advertisement yet.
The very idea that she might be right, is deeply troubling.

Verizon removes the Sportsman Channel and Outdoor Channel from their lineup. Ted Nugent goes on Mama Grizzly Radio to bitch about it.
![]() |
| Verizon removes Sportsman Chanel, once home to Sarah Palin, and the Outdoor channel, which hosts Ted Nugent. |
Verizon FIOS scrapped Sportsman Channel, home to Amazing America with Sarah Palin, and Outdoor Channel, which runs Ted Nugent’s show. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, LLC (“KSE”) owns both networks.
While Verizon cries low viewership, Nugent isn’t buying it. While appearing on Mama Grizzly Radio, Nugent pulled no punches. “Political correctness is choking the life out of the freedom in this country,” said the legendary rocker. “You’ve got a bunch of punks on the other side of the world that think that somehow in between barbecues the animals have rights—which is so absurd that Alfred E. Newman wouldn’t include it in the next issue of Mad aagazine because he’d be too busy flying over the cuckoo’s nest.”
Nugent went on to speak about Verizon and why they’re really taking away these channels rich in American tradition. “Anybody that’s against hunting, fishing and trapping, the Second Amendment, and self defense—you really have to be from some planet other than Earth,” said Nugent.
The Motor City Madman points to the “soullessness of those on the Left that are against truth, nature, God’s creation, and the perfection of tooth, fang, and claw that produces back straps to feed America and the world. It really is Planet of the Apes stuff when you’re against this kind of perfection.”
Well first off the fact that Nugent went on Mama Grizzly Radio to vent his frustration is hysterical all on its own, but the fact that he believes one cannot be a good American without murdering every animal that comes within a hundred yards of them is laugh out loud funny as well.
Of course the reason that Verizon dropped the two channels, which are both part of the Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks, was due to low ratings.
However Ted "Poopy pants" Nugent isn't having it.
“It’s a lie,” Nugent said. “It’s a political correct escape mechanism. Verizon is infested with anti-hunters, animal rights freaks, anti-gunners, people that don’t believe in self defense.”
Wow, I see that Nugent continues to barely cling to his sanity.
As it turns out the NRA agrees with Nugent (Well of course they do.) and they have issued a call to action.
Which since these are NRA members we are talking about I assume means they will be shooting their TVs.

In response to social media outrage Zimbabwe bans hunting of lions, leopards, and elephants outside of national park.
![]() |
| Cecil the lion |
Zimbabwe's wildlife authorities have suspended the hunting of lions, leopards and elephants around the country's biggest game reserve following the killing of a much-loved lion by a US dentist.
"Hunting of lions, leopards and elephant in areas outside of Hwange National Park has been suspended with immediate effect," Edson Chidziya, head of Zimbabwe's parks and wildlife authority Zimparks, said in a statement.
The parks body also suspended hunting with bows and arrows, except with permission from the authority's head.
"All such hunts will only be conducted if confirmed and authorized in writing by the Director-General of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, and only if accompanied by parks staff," Chidziya said.
The clampdown follows an international furore over the killing of Cecil the lion, a favourite with international tourists, who was shot with a bow and arrow by Walter Palmer outside Hwange park in early July.
I have to say that I think this is the most impressive demonstration of the impact of social media that I have ever seen.
I keep telling my often skeptical daughter that we can still change things if we work together and this is proof of that.
And not only is the hunting ban in place but Walter Palmer is currently still in hiding, and Zimbabwe is still working to extradite his loser ass back to Africa so that he can stand trial for the illegal hunt.
Hopefully this ban is permanent, and will be expanded, and is not just a stunt to deflect criticism until this whole thing dies down.

Since 1970 humans have wiped out fifty percent of the world's wildlife.
![]() |
| Walter J. Palmer showing off his machismo. |
In early July, a dentist from Minnesota named Walter James Palmer traveled to Zimbabwe, lured a male lion out of Hwange National Park, and shot him to death. The twist? This was no ordinary lion. No, Cecil the lion was a popular tourist attraction, and so now half the internet has erupted in outrage over his death.
It's a grisly tale. But it's also not an isolated case. Not even close. Over the past four decades, humans have managed to kill off a staggering number of wild animals worldwide — from charismatic lions and rhinos right down to lowly frogs. Most of these deaths don't spark anywhere near the furor that Cecil's did. But they certainly add up.
A major recent survey by the World Wildlife Fund estimated that the number of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish worldwide has declined a whopping 52 percent between 1970 and 2010. The main culprits? Humans. Mainly through hunting, fishing, deforestation, pollution, and other forms of habitat destruction. Statistically speaking, Cecil's death at the hands of a person was more likely than not.
When people refer to human beings as a cancer on this planet they could not be more accurate.
And the thing is that we know better, and yet we still cannot accept the responsibility of caring for the creatures whose lives are put into jeopardy by our very existence, much less by our need to demonstrate dominance over them.
I have to say that in this area my daughter is my moral superior, as she is a strict vegetarian who contributes time and money to conservation projects. Especially towards the protection of elephants who hold a special place in her heart.
We all have to do much, much better or else someday children will be learning about lions the same way that we all learned about the Dodo bird.
P.S. Speaking of big brave hunters killing animals the Zimbabwe officials are calling for the extradition of Palmer to face charges for killing Cecil.

Ted Nugent calls the story of Cecil the lion a "big lie" and says people who are upset about it are "stupid."
Courtesy of the Nugent's Facebook page:
For those having trouble reading:
"the whole story is a lie. It was a wild lion from a "park" where hunting is legal & ESSENTIAL beyond the park borders. all animals reproduce every year & would run out of a room/food to live w/o hunting. I will write a full piece on this joke asap. God are people stupid."
Later on the page Nugent is asked about Jimmy Kimmel's emotional response to the killing and he responds by calling him a "lying punk."
What a sweetheart.
Ahh, leave it to Ted "shitty pants" Nugent to embody the conservative Id when it comes to how to treat other creatures on the planet.
You know it seems to me that since Ted Nugent once got into trouble for illegally killing a black bear up here in Alaska, that perhaps he may not be the best person to weigh in on the legality vs illegality of killing this lion.
Just saying.

Minnesota dentist illegally kills beloved lion in Zimbabwe, easily worst decision of his life. Update!
![]() |
| Final photograph of Cecil the lion. |
A Minnesota dentist and avid big-game hunter said he regrets killing a beloved lion in Zimbabwe and will cooperate with any criminal investigation.
Walter J. Palmer, an Eden Prairie man with a Bloomington dental practice, came under fire from animal lovers after being identified as the man who shot Cecil, a well-known lion who roamed a Zimbabwe national park. He has become the target of threats and social media backlash against both himself and his business.
During a nighttime hunt in early July, the hunting team tied a dead animal to a car, luring the lion out of Hwange National Park, said Johnny Rodrigues, chairman of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force.
Palmer, 55, used a bow and arrow to shoot the lion on private land. Tracking data from the lion's GPS collar show it survived for about 40 hours before it was shot and killed with a rifle, according to according to The Independent, a London newspaper.
After finding and killing Cecil, they then cut off his head and skinned him, leaving his carcass behind to rot.
Since the killing social media outrage has virtually driven Palmer out of business, at least temporarily:
The backlash from animal lovers around the world has been so strong that the dentist’s website has shut down and his office is shuttered.
So manly, don't you think?
Palmer did say this in his defense:
In a statement, Palmer said “I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt… I deeply regret that my pursuit of an activity I love and practice responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion”
"An activity that I love?" Interesting way of saying I like to murder creatures with no way of fighting back, just for sport.
However his actions will have even deadlier consequences, as Cecil was the alpha male of his pride meaning that one of the younger male lions will soon take his place and kill all of his cubs in order to establish dominance.
Nature is cruel, but clearly not nearly as cruel as a dentist from Minnesota.
P.S. Here was Jimmy Kimmel's take. (I you'll notice toward the end Kimmel gets very emotional and chokes up a little.)
Update: Couldn't resist could she?

You ever wonder if Donald Trump's sons are over privileged douchebags? Wonder no more.
Well that's him, Donald Trump Jr..
Pretty much what you would expect right?
This photo of Jr. was from a 2012 hunting trip to Africa.
There was a lot of controversy after this picture showed up on TMZ, and of course PETA went ballistic.
However the Trump public relations team shifted into high gear to let everybody know that the meat was donated to local villagers and that the Trump sons were actually doing the elephants a favor by hunting them before they over populated the area.
Such humanitarians these Trumps, don'tcha know?
This may be old news to some, but with "The Donald" throwing his hair into the 2016 ring everything old is new again.
Pretty much what you would expect right?

Nine year old boy shot and killed by his grandfather during canned hunting excursion on family ranch.
Courtesy of Fox 4:
The Wise County Sheriff's Office says a 9-year-old Wise County boy was accidentally shot and killed by his grandfather Saturday while hunting on the ranch the family runs.
Investigators say it happened around 10 a.m. during a controlled pheasant release at the 9 Bar Ranch just outside Decatur.
Nine-year-old Callen Little, his parents and his grandfather were in a hunting stand.
At some point, Callen left the stand.
The grandfather accidentally shot the boy in the chest as the birds were released.
"He'd left the stand for some reason and then the birds were released and when they shot, they shot into the direction where the boy was, and he was struck in the chest,” said Wise County Sheriff David Walker.
I am trying to figure out how you can lose track of your nine year old grandson with people in the area getting ready to fire off their weapons and I just can't do it. His safety would be a constant matter of concern for me.
Yet another senseless death as the result of the careless handling of firearms.

NRA convention in Nashville featured seminars telling attendees they must be ready for combat at any time and to emotionally prepare themselves for the death screams of those they kill.
![]() |
| Kyle E. Lamb. |
In a large room, one of the hyper-masculine avatars from the showcase posters has come to life and is leading a seminar called, "Survival Mindset: Are You Prepared?"
Sergeant Major Kyle E. Lamb, burly, bearded, and sporting a buzz cut, tells the -- let's face it, mostly past-middle-aged audience -- that they must stay vigilant at all times. That is because whether they're involved in a shooting in, "Nashville, Detroit, or Mogadishu, it's all combat," he says. Additionally, "You could be the target of terrorists."
Lamb is founder and President of Viking Tactics, supplier of a "large selection of high-quality, battle-proven tactical gear, designed by warriors for warriors," according to their site. Lamb’s bio claims he is also "highly sought out" as a military and law enforcement trainer. Back in the seminar, he says that the dangers presented by modern life such as terrorism, carjacking and home invasions, demand that warriors always be prepared.
"How do you prepare?" Lamb asks the audience. Not with "orange mocha Frappuccinos," that's for sure, he smirks, getting loud laughs. Also, their gun must be of a kind that they can access at all times. "If you've got a gun that's too heavy, push it around in a cart if it's that big!" he jokes.
The vigilant warrior with a conceal carry permit must have no illusions about what their gun is really for. "Are you carrying a gun for deterrence? Avoidance? No. This is threat elimination. It's part of the combat mindset. You have to be ready to eliminate the threat."
Becoming inured to the final screams of the dying is another unpleasant, but necessary, aspect of total preparedness. Lamb tells the audience of shooting a bear and being freaked out by the "death squall" ringing through the mountain and realizing that he did not want to show that kind of emotional vulnerability when confronted with a human foe, he says.
"Warrior skills are perishable!" his power point warns, "If you don't work on them you lose them!"
Well he seems nice.
Personally I don't think that it's a good idea to become "inured to the final screams of the dying" unless you are a soldier on the front line or working in the ER.
And how would one accomplish that feat anyway?
Fatally injuring creatures and listening to them die until it doesn't bother you anymore?
I'm pretty sure that's how psychopaths are created.

Sarah Palin gives speech at Safari Club in Minnesota while standing on stage with glassy eyed corpses. At least we think one of them was her.
Courtesy of Jungle Jane's Facebook page:
Now that was a great time with hunters and conservationists of the Safari Club International Lake Superior Chapter in Minnesota! As I mentioned tonight, SCI reminds us of these important things: first, hunting and the outdoor lifestyle are all about family, freedom, and our American heritage; second, hunting and conservation are inseparable; and third, it's so important to give back to the community, as SCI does by granting military vets their “dream hunts”! We can never sufficiently repay our men and women in uniform for all their sacrifices, but we can help make their futures a little brighter by making some dreams come true. As I've said in my speeches for years now: if you love your freedom, thank a vet!
Thank you again, SCI, for the great work you do in promoting our hunting heritage and responsible stewardship of our environment through conservation. Every one of you guys and gals in the crowd tonight inspire me and give me great hope in America!
- Sarah Palin
Wait hunting is all about "family, freedom, and our American heritage?"
How does blowing the brains out of a defenseless animal trying to take a shit in the woods make us a better parent, better free person, or better American? Don't some childless, recently paroled, non-Americans also enjoy filling the local wildlife with bullet holes?
As you can see Palin decided that the best attire for the event was that of an aging Las Vegas showgirl.
Accessorized of course with Sheena the She-Devil's tooth and claw necklace.
Well I stand corrected. Here I thought that Palin was really making a mistake by skipping the NRA event and showing up to this podunk orgy of death instead, but now I see that she was really in her element, surrounded by her kind.
And by "her kind" I mean the other taxidermied undead things that shared the stage with her.

Sarah Palin has emerged from hiding. Update!
The above photo was from a Facebook post a little over an hour ago.
There were several more pictures, all of Sarah or Bristol holding and firing guns.
Here's another:
There was also this statement:
Happily enroute to Minnesota to break bread with great Safari Club International hunters and conservationists! I look forward to encouraging women hunters, sharing insight on true conservation, preaching firearms safety, and of course hearing from these liberty lovers in the beautiful Land of 10,000 Lakes.
Here are some of my favorite new guns, including an awesome new Glock custom made by the good folks at TMT Tactical and a mighty AR-15 sent last month from friends of the Motor City Madman and world class bow hunter Ted Nugent. Pretty pink camo! But not too pretty to only display and never shoot. Also, pics of Dakota showing Bristol, Tripp, and me how it’s done in Kentucky where they're proudly clinging to their guns, our God, and our Constitution!
- Sarah Palin
So to be clear Palin is going to Minnesota to promote hunting and gun ownership, but NOT attending this weekend's big NRA Leadership Forum, where anybody who is anybody will be. And also giving no explanation as to why she pulled out at the last minute.
Wow, even in Palin-world that is pretty odd.
Now keep in mind that we have no idea if that picture above is recent, and the others that she posted are clearly not, so it's possible that she is still not media ready.
I am interested in if there will be any coverage of her appearance at this Safari Club appearance.
Not that this is in any way dissuading any of her most die hard supporters, who have now convinced themselves that with Hillary's upcoming announcement it is assured that Palin will soon throw her wig into the ring:
The moment we've been waiting for has finally arrived. Hillary Clinton is set on announcing/launching her 2016 Presidential campaign tomorrow according to CNN. CNN is right. She is in fact announcing her candidacy tomorrow. This is when Sarah Palin will finally announce her candidacy. Forget the other Candidates like, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. They don't have a choice to withdraw their Presidential 2016 bid. They know they cannot beat Hillary Clinton. One reason "Gender Card." It has to be Sarah Palin from our side of the aisle. Like Wild Bill for America said " Two women and one Destiny." He's right. It's has to be woman vs woman. Palin vs Clinton.
What is it again that comedian Ron White used to say? Oh that's right, "You can't fix stupid."
Ain't it the truth.
Update: Okay here we go.
So attending some podunk hunting banquet in Minnesota instead of appearing in a humongous NRA event in Nashville, that will feature almost every single potential GOP presidential candidate?
Oh this is just pathetic.

Sarah Palin is going to bore chilly homeless people in Las Vegas tomorrow. At least I think I read that right.
Courtesy of the Las Vegas Sun:
Conservative pundit and former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be in Las Vegas on Thursday to promote a new television show and serve food at a local Salvation Army.
The former Alaska governor and reality TV star is partnering with the Sportsman Channel for the Hunt.Fish.Feed program — the channel’s outreach effort to help curb hunger in America.
With the help of police officers and military veterans, Palin will be dishing up wild boar chili from 4 to 6 pm. at the Salvation Army at 35 West Owens Ave. The channel says its program has served meals to 25,000 people in 40 cities.
The channel dubs Palin, who has entrenched herself in punditry and popular culture after her failed vice presidential bid, as the “First Lady of the Outdoors.” She is well known for her love of shooting and other outdoor activities. She has her own show on the Sportsman Channel: Amazing America with Sarah Palin.
Oh I get it now.
Sorry, just the idea of Sarah Palin doing anything for the less fortunate, even as a promotion for her crappy reality program, is just really hard for my brain to digest.
You just have to know that the idea of serving boar meat chili is a desperate attempt to lend credibility to Palin's faux pig slaying on Nugent's wildlife farm by the way.
And speaking of laughable this whole idea of Palin being the "First Lady of the Outdoors" is ROFL worthy. This woman despises the outdoors and can only cope with it if she has certain creature comforts provided for her.
You know like staying in a camper, having fresh coffee brought to her around the clock, and having all of the menial tasks like fishing, cooking, and building a fire done by somebody else.
You all do remember this episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" where she could barely manage to scramble up some rocks without a climbing harness and constant encouragement from the crew, right?
The only thing rugged about Sarah Palin is the skin around her neck.

The Sportsman Channel is proud to announce that not only is the "Quitter-in-Chief" coming back for a second season but she will be joined by "Captain Poopy-Pants."
Courtesy of Variety:
Former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will return to the Sportsman Channel for the second season of her reality series, “Amazing America With Sarah Palinm” at 9 p.m. on Jan. 15.
The series documents Palin as she travels the country to share stories with outdoor enthusiasts, craftsmen and other notable Americans. The Jan. 29 episode will feature rocker and outspoken conservative activist Ted Nugent, host of the Outdoor Channel’s “Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild.”
“Ted Nugent is not only a rock ‘n’ roll icon, but a true American outdoorsman who practices what he preaches,” said Palin. “His outspoken candor regarding America and our civil liberties is a breath of fresh air. I’m so excited he’s joining me for an episode this season.” (Erp! That almost made me throw up in my mouth a little.)
Added Nugent, “Sarah Palin is a great American and a great friend to freedom lovers everywhere. She will go down in history as a strong, courageous freedom fighter for ‘We the People’ in this diabolical culture war. I am proud to stand with her.” (And that finished the job. Yuck!)
You know that phrase "You are judged by the company you keep?" Well in this case it is hard to tell whose reputation suffers more.
That is not all the company that Palin is getting this season either.
Season one co-host Jerry Carroll returns to the show with Palin, and 2006 Miss USA Tara Conner joins as a field co-host for the second season.
Okay well we know that this Jerry Carroll guy supplies the personality that Palin is lacking, and Nugent provides the actual hunting knowledge. But what does this Tara Connor person bring to the table?
Oh, now I get it. She brings the sex appeal that Palin is too old and used up to provide anymore.
If they are smart they will just give the show to the comedian and the pageant winner.
After all what exactly does Palin really have to offer these days?
Well it certainly isn't the sexy.
