The United States needs a strategy that "creates more partners and fewer terrorists," former US president Bill Clinton said in an interview. We can't put the whole world behind walls. We can't kill all our enemies. ... The fate of Americans is closely entwined with that of other peoples," he said in comments reported in the French newspaper Le Monde.
Okay is that really some radical new idea? Doesn't it smack of a little thing I like to call "common sense"? This is what it is like when smart people think about America's problems.
Here read this part.
The former US leader, who was in the White House from January 1993 to January 2001, had words of advice for his successor George W. Bush in confronting the threat of radical Islam
His country needs "a strategy which consists of destroying the legitimacy of an ideology which falsely relies on religion to create and maintain conflicts," he said.
Damn! Can't he just run for president again? Look I forgive the philandering thing. I would gladly set him up with room that had hot and cold running interns if he would just steer my country off of this cliff that Bush has us teetering on!
If Hillary promises to let Bill help with the heavy lifting then she has my vote. Hillary & Bill in 2008!
