Blame is not a game! Why do we keep letting the Bush Administration define the dialogue?

"It is not time to play the Blame Game." George W. Bush
"We do not want to do any Blame Gaming." Scott McClellan

Why do we allow the republicans to pull this shit everytime they find themselves in the crosshairs of public disapproval? I hear newscaster, after newscaster using the Republican talking points to describe a situation and I am sick of it! Does the Administration provided copy writers for all news agencies? I thought it was just Fox news.

Let's straighten some things out. It is not called blame it is called responsibility! The reason we want to identify who is responsible, whether it be local, state, or federal, is to make damn sure it does not happen again.

However if it turns out that the Mayor made a mistake then he can easily be replaced in the next election. But if the responsibility is due to changes in FEMA then we have a much, much more complicated problem. The problems in FEMA will not automatically change if Director Brown loses his job. They may not change even if George Bush is removed from office. The problems and resources may take years to get back in working order. We do not have the luxury of waiting. We are currently in the beginning of the hurricane season. Now is the time to find those responsible and to get them out of the decision making process!

For that reason we cannot allow the administration to delay the process or attempt to throw out "red herrings" to redirect blame. If the fault lies with this administration then they need to be fired.

In case anybody has forgotten a city was destroyed! Peoples homes were destroyed! Thousands of people died! These facts are irrefutable! There is blame! There is responsibility!

The reason that the administration wants to delay the process is because they hope that emotions will not be so raw and that they might scrape by without anybody having to take the responsibility. That is not fucking happening!

And while I am on the subject let me translate some other Republican doublespeak.

They are not Abortion clinics! They are Health clinics and one of the many services they provide for women is the right to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.

Taxes are not the root of all evil! Taxes help provide the infrastructure that might have helped prevent the disaster in the gulf.

Jesus does not belong to Republicans! Jesus loves the everybody!

Being against the war in Iraq does not make you a traitor! It makes you a human being who cares.

Liberal is not a dirty word! But that is okay because we prefer Progressives and we are determined to fix what you have broken.
