Well, January is going swimmingly...I just found out a nurse friend of mine is going over...40 and such a great nurse, she is headed to "just north of Bagdad- just outside of the green zone.." ( like that is going to make anyone feel better)....she had been told she was going to be stationed at Germany or Kuwait....but that changed recently... this is so fucking wrong....all of it...
I know that she feels like she is doing the right thing ( and it helped pay for her education - as an RN...) but she has given so much here at home ( reserves) I don't understand...and for over a year they said she was going to have to go...then it was well, overseas , BUT not Iraq, and then Boom, a month ago...yup..Iraq...and she is a really fine Flight nurse...( we need her here in the states too)....If anything happens to her .....I will be really pissed( yeah, like I wasn't already....)

If you think I am pissed off now just wait until somebody I know dies over there! I just hope that never happens.
