This article appears in the gossipy section of my home newspaper. Usually these little items are pretty accurate and those of us who are news voyeurs study them quite carefully for little bits and pieces of insight into the movers and shakers in our community. This would not be something that I would put past Uncle Ted. He sure doesn't like people who dare to defy him. Ms. Cantwell may want to use this as fuel to fire up her own campaign. After all it is not often that a freshman senator gets such a powerful member of the Senate gunning for them.
CROSS COUNTRY MOVE ... Beltway mites say Elliott Bundy, who worked in Alaska for Lisa in her U.S. Senate race and took a job in her office, has resigned. He's headed to Seattle to work on Mike McGavick's campaign to wrest U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell's seat away from her in November. Maria is the Washington senator who made Ted Stevens' head explode during the ANWR debate, the one he swore to drive out of office by going to her state and campaigning against her.
So here's Ear's only question: Is Ted paying Elliott's salary?
