Well great now I don't feel special anymore! The Government is going to track all internet activity!

The US government is developing a massive computer system that can collect huge amounts of data and, by linking far-flung information from blogs and e-mail to government records and intelligence reports, search for patterns of terrorist activity.

The system - parts of which are operational, parts of which are still under development - is already credited with helping to foil some plots. It is the federal government's latest attempt to use broad data-collection and powerful analysis in the fight against terrorism. But by delving deeply into the digital minutiae of American life, the program is also raising concerns that the government is intruding too deeply into citizens' privacy.

Well sure! I get tracked by the feds and now everybody wants to get in on the action!

You know what the second thing I wonder is? How much something like this costs? I mean this seems like an awful lot of man hours spent going through reams of information, most of which will tell them nothing.

But the first thing I wonder is how in the hell are we allowing this to happen? Is anybody comfortable with the government tracking all of your internet activity? Keeping records? Making lists? Reading your personal e-mails?

Well I hope that they have a good health plan. Because the crap they get from my web surfing is going to literally bore them to death! Well except for the gay midget porn sites. Research.
