Legislators attempt to block Bush plan for ignoring low income Americans.

Researchers and legislators are rallying to block a Bush administration plan to scupper a U.S. survey widely used to improve federal and state programs for millions of low-income and retired Americans.

President George W. Bush's proposed budget for fiscal 2007, which begins this October, includes a Commerce Department plan to eliminate the Census Bureau's Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP).

The proposal marks at least the third White House attempt in as many years to do away with federal data collection on politically prickly economic issues ranging from mass layoffs to employment discrimination.

When I see Bush on the news talking about "making the hard decisions for Americans", I quite literally throw up a little in my mouth. This guys total disdain for the majority of Americans has been demonstrated in his abysmal response to Katrina, his complete willingness to put Americans in harms way in an unnecessary war, his cutting of benefits to the neediest of our population, etc., etc., etc.. Kanye West was almost right when he said "Geoerge Bush hates black people", but it did not go far enough. George Bush hates all people who do not believe his bullshit.

George Bush does not give a rats ass about any of us. He only cares about grabbing as much power for himself and his co-horts as possible. Everyday we lose a little more under this administration. Until we elect leaders with the balls to stand up to this guy we will never start the slow process of getting out dignity back. And in case you have not noticed there are very few politicians with enough chutzpah to do the job.

Where are our leaders? We desperately need you to step up! Now!
