Here they are! John Edwards for President, and General Wesley Clark for VP!These two are a sure thing to win the 2008 presidency. Let me explain why.
John Edwards escaped virtually unscathed from the "Kerry-Edwards" ticket of 2004. Right afterward his wife was revealed to have cancer. Edwards took time off to care for her and his family. That is real family values! He is unbelievably photogenic. He is obviously a 10, yet he is married to a woman that might be considered a 5 or 6 physically. However she is a wonderful nurturing person which makes her an easy 11.
What is more Senator Edwards is the only Democrat to come out and admit he was wrong to vote to allow George Bush to use our military against Saddam Hussein. That admission is huge to me and makes me respect Senator Edwards much more then I did during the 2004 campaign.
Now Wesley Clark has demonstrated integrity the entire time that I have been aware of him. He was against this war from the start and he was one of the loudest voices saying that Bush did not send enough troops in at the beginning to insure victory. He is a decorated soldier with years of combat experience. Nobody could question his knowledge of war and the military.
Clark would offset Edward's lack of experience concerning military matters and he could easily gain America's confidence in their ability to deal with our untenable situation in the world today.
Now the only thing I would like Wesley to change is to get the hell away from FOX news! I don't care how much they are paying you brother, it just looks bad!
This is my choice for the team that can take back the White House. I would bet my house on this team and I would happily vote for them as many times as the polling place would allow me. So just the one time I guess.

Sounds good to me. Do you think the great majority of Americans would agree with you? That's what so sad though. Voters with brains are in the minority.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for Edwards, I think he'll make a great President. But Clark? Nah; nothing impresses me there.
ReplyDeleteHe has never been elected to anything; he is a bad campaigner; and while he might be a capable man, where is his heart? I'm sure he is a nice man, but I would rather have him as Sec. of Defense than Veep.
Edwards needs a VP with military cred.
ReplyDeleteThe American people are frightened and concerned with what will happen in Iraq. The only thing that will put them at ease is getting a leader who they believe can put things right. That is why Edwards needs Clark.
Jai, I completely respect your opinion on my man Wesley. But don't underestimate the quality that Edwards has.

We need somebody who is pretty. Democrats historically have more women then the Republicans. Women like to vote for the beefcake. They will vote for John Edwards.
But he is not just a pretty face. he is a measured speaker capable of eliciting an emotional response from his audience (much like Bill). He is also a family man with a wife that can easily out "sweet" Laura Bush.
He is not a dumb man and I think that he will quickly rise to the challenges of being President.
I stand by my picks.
