China supplants America as world's newest superpower.

China is rising fast and is expected to eclipse the United States economically in the future - its gross domestic product is tipped to overtake that of America by 2045.

While Mr Bush has only given Mr Hu an hour of his time for a state lunch, the global balance of power is changing and in future meetings, the Chinese will set the timetable.

The rise of China is posing awkward questions for the US, along with the realisation that its days as the world's economic superpower are numbered.

Of all of the terrible mistakes that history will lay at the Bush administrations feet, the loss of our superpower status may be the one that is used to shame it for centuries to come.

While Bush chased phantom terrorists around the world, China carefully grew their military and embraced a version of capatalism to become the fastest growing power in the world. We owe them billions of dollars and dare not stand in their way for fear they will call all of our markers due and bankrupt this country.

George Bush has faith that history will vindicate him but I think the opposite will prove true.

History will identify him as "the Worst President Ever".
