Last nights Daily Show was great. I laughed a number of times and nothing made me laugh, and cringe, as much as Ed Helm's playful dressing down of Homer, Alaska's eagle problem.Ed interviewed the wacky Jean Keene, the "eagle lady", and the mayor of Homer. Now while he treated Jean with gentleness he allowed the mayor to appear buffonish and unsophisticated. Now that is not particularly hard to do to our locals, especially in the end of the road communities like Homer. Still, as an Alaskan, I kept hoping the guy would just stop talking.
My favorite line in the show was when Ed Helms referred to eagle poop as "freedom frosting". That was pure gold.
