Katie Couric has been getting on my nerves for the last five years or so. She is 49 which is too old to pull off that perky crap that she is known for and she lacks the panache to be a convincing hard hitting interviewer. I have just not been very impressed for quite some time.
When I first heard that she was moving to CBS I thought it was a mistake for both her and the network. I have since changed my mind. I think that in this phase of her career it is actually a pretty good opportunity. I don't think that CBS is going to get their moneys worth after the novelty wears off however.
But the real story is going to be who is NBC going to get to replace Couric. I am hoping for some hot, perky little morsel who will get me tuned in for more then just the Matt Lauer segments (who is a perky, little morsel in his own right).
I vote for Norah O'Donnell. She is gorgeous! And she is a real reporter.
