Neil Young wrote an interesting new song. Let's see if we can glean the meaning of the song from the title. It is called "Impeach the President".

One of Neil's collaborators, filmmaker, Jonathan Demme, describes it as "a brilliant electric assault on Bush and the war in Iraq.” The linchpin track, "Impeach the President," features an edited-together Bush rap set to a 100-voice chorus chanting "flip/flop."

You know I have posted before concerning my frustration with the lack of really good protest songs from this era. Where is our "Blowing in the Wind"? Our "Where have all the flowers gone"?

We need some real good sing-along-songs to give our protests some cohesion. I just wonder if our corporate radio stations would have the guts to give them any airtime? Where are our anti-establishment heroes? This might be a good opportunity for Howard Stern to earn back some listeners.
