Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri Maliki, would like permission to leave the room now.

In an extensive interview with a US newspaper, Mr Maliki said he would certainly not be seeking a second term.

A compromise choice, his tenure has been plagued by factional strife within both the country and government, and rumours the US has no faith in him.

"I wish I could be done with it even before the end of this term," he said.

"I didn't want to take this position," he told the Wall Street Journal. "I only agreed because I thought it would serve the national interest, and I will not accept it again."

So even the puppet government, that the Bush administration manipulated the Iraqi vote to put in place, is falling apart at the seams. Maliki is smart enough to know that the minute the American troops leave Iraq he is a dead man. And he is obviously aware that the exit strategy for American troops is being planned even as we speak.

All joking aside, has any administration in American history ever proved to be as completely inept as this Bush White House? I mean it almost defies logic that anybody could fuck up so consistently without planning to do so. Is it possible that George Bush wants to sabotage his Presidency?

I just don't get it.

  1. I agree with Rep. Charles Rangel, who said, "More than any other President that I can think of, you have really, truly shattered the myth of white supremacy."
