US contingency plans for air strikes on Iran extend beyond nuclear sites and include most of the country's military infrastructure, the BBC has learned.
It is understood that any such attack - if ordered - would target Iranian air bases, naval bases, missile facilities and command-and-control centres.
The US insists it is not planning to attack, and is trying to persuade Tehran to stop uranium enrichment.
And as we continue to prepare for war with Iran, who seem to pose littel or no threat, where is al-Qaeda now? They are setting up shop within the borders of our good friends the Pakistanis.
Now I am not suggesting that we should be preparing to attack Pakistan rather then Iran, what I am saying is that we are once again wasting our resources against a non-enemy when the true enemy may be preparing to take advantage of that eventuality.
It has occurred to me often that George Bush may be a double agent since he seems to purposefully make our enemies jobs much, much easier on them. And he also seems dedicated to the idea of making as many enemies for the United States as humanly possible before his term runs out.
