The last letters home from soldiers who have died in Iraq. You are going to need Kleenex for this.

"Never forget that your daddy loves you more than anything and that I will be home soon." Mundell could not keep that last promise. At a quarter to 2 on the afternoon of Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, he was killed by an IED while on patrol in Fallujah; the casket was closed at his funeral in Kentucky.

If there is a Hell, George Bush deserves to have a reservation waiting for him. If ever anybody had sinned against his countrymen, it is George W. Bush. His complete lack of responsibility, his duplicitous nature, and his incredible refusal to learn from his mistakes are still taking the fathers, sons, daughter, and mothers away from their families.

Don't tell me there is a God, because if there were one he simply could not allow this to happen. He just couldn't.

  1. "Leaders" like Bush get that way because people enable them. The sycophants around them prop them up. The soldiers go where they are told without protest. The citizens sit at home and feel content to gripe in private.
This would stop if soldiers would all pull an Ehren Watada and if all citizens would push as Cindy Sheehan has done. These lone voices are not enough by themselves. They need our help.
Write/phone/email/fax your congresspeople. Find a group to visibly protest with. Soldiers, refuse to take part in an illegal war.
We are God and it is up to us.
