I don't do drugs, but if I did I would want a little of whatever Bill Kristol is smoking.

I suppose I'll merely expose myself to harmless ridicule if I make the following assertion: George W. Bush's presidency will probably be a successful one.

Good call there Bill, you are absolutely right. But the only reason that you will only receive some "harmless ridicule" is because I cannot figure out a way to make it hurt. If I could, trust me that I would like you to feel a little discomfort with your ridicule. Not nearly as much as our soldiers suffer on a daily basis of course, but enough to get your attention and help you connect a negative sensation with your bullshit. I don't think that a squishy fellow like you could take very much pain.

Now I am just going to cut and paste Bill's explanation for why this Presidency will be considered a good one, because I could never have made up how the deluded mind of a neocon works any better if I being water boarded to come up with one.

Let's step back from the unnecessary mistakes and the self-inflicted wounds that have characterized the Bush administration. Let's look at the broad forest rather than the often unlovely trees. What do we see? First, no second terrorist attack on U.S. soil -- not something we could have taken for granted. Second, a strong economy -- also something that wasn't inevitable.

And third, and most important, a war in Iraq that has been very difficult, but where -- despite some confusion engendered by an almost meaningless "benchmark" report last week -- we now seem to be on course to a successful outcome.

First there has been no second attack in America because the Bush administration has not orchestrated one.

Second the economy is not that strong and is headed for the dumper at an alarming rate. Just watch the housing market crash and then take the economy's temperature.

And third there is no way that a war that was started for reasons that turned out to be false could ever be considered "on the course to a successful outcome".

No Bill, when the records that the Republicans fail to destroy are finally made public, and history records what was in them, we will all know what many of us have come to realize by piecing the evidence together ourselves. That this is the worst presidency in the history of America.

We will know that this government manipulated and injured America for its own selfish goals, and the goals of its corporate sponsors. We will finally have revealed each of the Bush administration lies, and who told them. We will know that America can be badly damaged by a megalomaniac, being manipulated by truly evil men. And hopefully we will learn to never allow that to happen again.

Yes history will teach us a lot. But I can guarantee that it will never teach us that the Bush Presidency was good. No matter how many times they try to manipulate the facts.
