Alaskans are wringing their hands at the prospect of losing our powerful lawmakers.

Many of my fellow Alaskans have never lived in the state before the oil gods paved our streets with gold. They are understandedly uncertain.

Others were here well before Stevens and Young began funneling federal money our way. They are in a blind panic.

All in all most of us are just not sure what plan B is for our state.
