Frequent tours for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all-volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, President Bush's new war adviser said Friday.
"I think it makes sense to certainly consider it," Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said in an interview with National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."
"And I can tell you, this has always been an option on the table. But ultimately, this is a policy matter between meeting the demands for the nation's security by one means or another," Lute added in his first interview since he was confirmed by the Senate in June.
I am not at all surprised that they are beginning to test the waters to see if a draft idea will float, but I have to admit to being surprised that Bush actually has a "war adviser". I thought the dumb son of a bitch just made it up as he went along.
So I guess that they are dangling this in the water to see what our country's response will be.
Well here, let me help.
If the Bush administration tries to reinstate the draft they will see the Presidents approval ratings sink into the negative number category. We want out of Iraq, not to have more of our children forced to die over there.
In other words, NO FUCKING DRAFT!
here here...NO FUCKING DRAFT...
