Barack Obama holds a slight lead on Hillary Clinton in Texas and has almost pulled even in Ohio before contests that could decide their Democratic presidential battle, according to a Reuters/C-SPAN/Houston Chronicle poll released on Friday.
The contests on Tuesday are crucial for Clinton, a New York senator and former first lady fighting to halt Obama's streak of 11 consecutive victories in their battle for the Democratic nomination for the November 4 presidential election.
It seems pretty clear that Obama is going to take Texas, at least the majority of delegates if nothing else.
And the race in Ohio is going to be so close that Hillary will not get enough new delegates to help her in any significant way.
We need to keep a sharp eye on what happens in these two races, especially Ohio. If any dirty tricks are going to take place this is where they will occur. After New Hampshire we must be ever vigilant of any illogical outcomes.
He should win Texas. That hispanics-love-hillary card has been overplayed. Oh, Ohio ... I can't fathom their rationale, but then I was also disappointed (gross understatement) in Calif.
ReplyDeleteOff-Topic: If you get LINK TV up there, check out their schedule for tonight. I just posted it (w/links to some vids if you don't get LINK TV). Lots of interesting documentaries on politics, war, corporate corruption. If religion had thrown in, I'd be up all night.
Okay...I Early Voted today in Ohio....at the Infamous Cuyahoga County Election Center- PACKED...long lines - no parking outside...this was EARLY voting...and I even met Repugs Voting for Obama...and it was amazing....( and yeah, I think most there were for Obama.....seriously)....
ReplyDeleteAnyways I am working all weekend at the HQ.....and monday...(they called and asked me to work the office- so i don't know if I am canvassing or not....)
But it is crazy here...Obama SIGNS up everywhere - on cars...houses....in windows....in businesses....I have seen only ONE Hillary sign all month...ONE.....
even in the ritzy neighborhood next to ours ( which I was sure was Hill land-it is FULL of Obama signs)
ALL the rallies in Ohio have had 8-12,000...the smallest one was 6000......they are huge....people wait for hours to see him...I don't think they are just waiting because they are "curious"......
Frankly I just don;t know what to make of the "polls" ...I also think they don't unclude the Repugs or Independents- and I think they are indeed voting for Obama....
