Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Great find, Gryphen. I might have glossed through it but for the early mention of Yerkes and chimps. I notice the author brought in bonobos & even baboons to illustrate points, but not the most peaceful of the great apes, the gorilla, a true gentle giant. They don't wage opportunistic wars like chimps & rarely have to do more than make a show of force. And I hate to mention, but gorilla society has nothing like gender equality.
Interesting to think that only lack of food, fuel or gender equality is keeping us from realizing peace? I guess I am more old school, too fatalistic, but I do live in hope that might be so. Still, absent some huge breakthrough in the food & fuel supply, I think population control might be the key. Terrible to think that war might have always really been about population control.
