A majority of Americans do not read political blogs, the online commentaries that have proliferated in the race for the U.S. presidency, according to a poll released on Monday.
Only 22 percent of people responding to the poll said they read blogs regularly, meaning several times a month or more, according to the survey conducted by Harris Interactive.
Gee and I work so hard on this too.
Well I have run into this information before. If I was just interested in having a popular blog I would talk about Lindsay Lohan or review movies instead. But I want to bring information to people who cannot find it through the regular news outlets.
And that is why this last part really burns my ass.
Unlike traditional, mainstream media, blogs often adopt a specific point of view. Critics complain they can contain unchecked facts, are poorly edited and use unreliable sources.
I cannot argue that I have a definite point of view, but I do check my facts before writing about them. I may also not be the best editor, but as for my sources they are usually the mainstream media itself. But they are often stories that don't get the attention I think they deserve, or I feel are being slanted by the usual new outlets.
DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou should have me review films!!!!
Then you would have more hits and we could BOND!!! HAHA IT WOULD BE AWESOME
Just thought I'd tell you that I'm working an Elton John show *Smile
I love you
Hey baby, if I ever decide to run a movie review site you KNOW I am tapping that amazing reservoir of movie trivia that you have at your disposal.
ReplyDeleteEven though, and I just have to mention this, I beat you at Screen-it over Christmas. And I was drunk! LOL!
Greetings! I encourage you to keep blogging the sentiments nearest your heart. Even though you & I appear strong opposites in our blogpinions, I hope you'll stick with it, as I intend to. We may have fewer visitors than TMZ, but we probably appreciate our 'fans' a whole lot more!
ReplyDeleteWell thank you for the encouragement. And you are so right, we are indeed on different sides of many issues.
ReplyDeleteBut hey "different strokes" and all of that right?
Just remember to vote for Obama and we will get along fine.
KoKon shows almost naked ladies. When he showed shots of Miss Alaska in tight clothes, his hits went through the roof for a few days. You just missed a chance in your previous story.
