The article examines Keith's tenure at FOX News, his acerbic relationship with Bill O'Reilly, his days at ESPN, his "restless leg syndrome" (WTF?), and his often difficult personality.
It definitely paints a full picture of Olbermann, warts and all.
But it also contains a quote which probably sums up the Keith Olbermann that we have come to admire and to look to for the truth in these troubled times:
Phil Griffin, the senior vice-president in charge of MSNBC (“Phil thinks he’s my boss,” Olbermann says), raised the matter of tone. Why did Olbermann need to end his commentary by telling the President of the United States to “shut the hell up”?
“Because I can’t say, ‘Shut the fuck up,’ that’s why, frankly,” Olbermann responded. The line stayed in.
Is there anything more that really needs to be said?
yes he has an agenda in age when journalism is all about agendas and entertainment
ReplyDeletebut for SO long there were too many agendas that parroted rush and hannity and we ended up with 8 years of this idiot in the white house
stay angry keith, and with rising ratings and rising revenues i am sure MSNBC will let you say anything you want short of .....
I haven't read the article yet, but just wanted to say "restless leg syndrome" is no joke (although I used to make fun of it myself until I started to get it). Also known as a Jimmy Leg. Only happens at night or when you're trying to relax, but your legs think it is time to run a marathon. Best cure is to get on the treadmill for awhile. OK, I'll read the article now. I like "warts and all".
