Oh I like this idea too.

Obama himself moved to link himself more closely with a young Democratic hero of a half-century ago, picking President Kennedy's daughter Caroline to help him choose a vice president.

Barack demonstrates again that he is very very skillful at picking people that bring a certain integrity and sense of trust to the process.

He did that by bringing Joe Biden on to help shore up his foreign relations experience and we see it again here in picking somebody that will disarm his potential running mates and put to rest any suggestion that he is picking his v.p. for purely self indulgent reasons.

This is sweet, and smart. Its good politics and good will.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of RFK's assassination; I believe you are too young to remember him, but he had the kind of electricity that Obama has, the kind of character and real compassion for the people we haven't seen since 1968.

This is all terrifically exciting to an oldster like me; I'd thought the days of exciting candidates were lost to cynicism.

As always, thanks for all of your posts.
