John McCain's POW status officially jumped the shark on Jay Leno last night.

This almost looks like a parody that they might do on Saturday Night Live.

I almost cannot believe he is serious.

How can somebody take, what is a very impressive story of heroism, and turn it into a joke? John McCain will live to regret treating his POW experiences like a "get out of jail free" card to be used every time the questions get tough.

P.S. And yes I know the cool term is no longer "jump the shark". It is now "nuke the refrigerator". But I did not think most of my visitors would get that reference.

  1. This fogie is still trying to figure out what "jump the shark" means. :)

  2. It is in reference to the old "happy Days" show where the Fonz jumped a shark on water skies and wearing a leather jacket. It simply means that a show has run out of interesting original material, and is no longer worth watching.

The term "nuke the refrigerator" is from the new Indiana Jones movie, where Indy survived a nuclear explosion by hiding in a refrigerator.

There now you are at least as hip as I am, which isn't really all that hip by the way.

I'm happy to see this blog-site. It's refreshing to me to see so many people finally speaking up and speaking out against the "Royal Republicans" who continue to lie, extort, terrorize, and spend, spend, spend all at the American public's expense. I know too many "poor to low-middle class" Republicans who continue to support the lies about Obama, the Democrats, and the world, in general. One comment I received about Obama is they aren't sure if he's an American because he spent all those years in Indonesia. I looked up his biography and found that he spent 4 years--from age 6 to 10--in Indonesia. Now, compare that with John McCain's 8 years in VietNam, PLUS he gave in to his captors. Who is more American?
Thank you for this chance to share my thoughts.
