This woman is pretty sure that the bad stuff in her water is causing these killer rainbows.
I am going to post this without further comment, because my mother always told me "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all". And trust me I cannot think of anything nice to say.

Don't know what to make of this - certainly, yes, there are plenty of areas where you wonder if the government is mucking around with dangerous substances, etc., but I find nothing unusual or new about a rainbow from a sprinkler. I remember them as early as the 1960s and, as you said, it's a matter of light refraction. She sounds like a flake, which is sad, because people like this usually have the kind of intelligence that can (no obscure scientific pun intended) see around corners. The flakiness just causes that native intelligence to be squandered on speculative crap like this.
