The National Enquirer has the dirt.

Damn I cannot believe I am touting a National Enquirer story. But dammit the MSM will simply not do their fucking jobs!

So after the drubbing they received during the Edwards affair, the MSM will have no choice but to find out if the National Enquirer is on to something.

And of course we know they are definitely onto something.

(BTW I have no idea where the Palin affair story comes from. I have GOT to get out of town more.)

  1. I haven't had this much fun chasing the news since Bill Clinton vs that blue dress!

I hope, for Palin's sake and the eventual embarrassment of her family, that this new bit of "gossip" is NOT true.

But, I can't help but be a little curious about whether or not the Fundies will embrace Gov Palin as openly as they have embraced her daughter. After all, we're all sinners, aren't we? (head*desk)

The big question is, what will big, bad John do if this is true. The fact that he is threatening to sue the NE is only going to make matters worse, whether it's true or not.

I have a feeling this campaign will be drinking a very large glass of FAIL within a very short amount of time.

    Keep up the good work!

Even if it is true, how can McCain dump her for having an extra marital affair when McCain himself cheated on his last wife with his current wife? Talk about double standards.

Sure, a recent extra-martial affair will be seen by many as a last-straw for Palin. The Republican base will lose all their enthusiasm for her, it could even earn Palin the media tag of "scandal ridden".

Even so, the political cost to McCain of dumping her would be almost beyond measure. It would prove to the country that John McCain has awful judgment.

Short of an indictment or proof that she did fake her pregnancy (which would be absolute proof that she's barking mad), McCain can't dump her without cutting his own throat.

I wonder if the revelations will get so bad that she can't even continue as Governor?

  3. Maybe that's why this whole this is so curious.

It's like watching an episode of "Desperate Housewives" and we are only 15 minutes in.

Officially-speaking, I don't think that we will be told that McCain asked her to step down, if it turns out that this new rumor is true. She will step down due to the "pressure on her family and the tremendous responsibilities she still has in Alaska" (iow: Before I embarrass McCain or the Republican party anymore, I'd better bow out gracefully).

I agree with you, for all intents and purposes, no matter what comes out, there is no turning back for McCain. He made a hasty decision that is going to haunt him and his party throughout the rest of this campaign.

I say, way to go Maverick-Albatross ticket!

  4. On the Governor note, all these revelations might make it a tad difficult for her to "govern effectively"...especially in light of Trooper-gate.

    Pass the popcorn!

There are now rumors that both Palin and her husband have "gotten around". The rumors about Todd aren't nearly as well sourced or reported as the national enquirer rumors, it could just be talk.

Still, even if all that were proven 100%, I don't see that any of it would be enough to force McCain to dump her. Maybe if they were outed as swingers, maybe.

Because letting her go would prove McCain's bad judgment, I think she'd have to be proven either crazy or a crook for McCain to let her go. The only rumor I've seen so far that would force McCain to dump her would be the faked pregnancy thing. Only then because it would prove she's way too crazy to be trusted with the magic suitcase.

You're absolutely right that any dumping would be spun as a "resignation for personal reasons", it wouldn't matter. Americans aren't stupid. They know that any politician resigning just before or after a scandal is leaving because of that scandal.

Unless there's a criminal or sanity scandal, I think McCain is stuck with her until the bitter end. I expect that end will be mighty bitter.

This is getting really good. Much better than those reality shows on TV.

  7. Whoa - I agree, this is better than any reality show! I love that just to her left is Shannen Dougherty - another crazy nutjob - terrorizing the set of 90210. Icing on the cake.

I think they are going to just keep spinning her. They wanted to bring interest and excitement to this campaign and they've done it. I think today the biggest crime is being boring.

Of course, if people wake up and realize what a monster she truly it, that'll be GREAT!

  8. WOW between this and US Weekly, her base might be catching up with what's in the news.

  9. Tooting my own horn slightly, I just want to say that it was Saturday last week when I put up a lolz of Caribou Barbie with the caption "Cuz Shannen Doherty wuz not availabel."

Shannen is not the only Republican in Hollywood, but she's the only one who has been a regular tabloid fixture throughout her career. Kelsey Grammer had a few years hitting the snow, but after his heart attack he's calmed down considerably.

She thinks hockey moms are like pit bulls with lipstick? Pit bulls run away like little bitches when the tabloid reporters come hunting.
