Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

John McCain went on "Meet the Press" and ran into a buzzsaw named Tom Brokaw.
McCain probably expected Tom Brokaw to go kind of easy on him, as he did during the second debate which Brokaw moderated. But this was a different Tom Brokaw, and he did not hold anything back. He essentially kneecapped McCain and left him on the defensive with video after video of him saying the exact opposite of the positions he has taken during this election cycle.
Altogether it is devastating, and by the end John McCain looks like he would much rather have been back at the Hanoi Hilton then sitting across from the pugilistic Mr. Brokaw.
I tried to post this earlier today and ran into some trouble with the embed.
This is the ENTIRE episode of Meet the Press from today. The John McCain portion is over at the half hour mark, but then there is a very interesting roundtable that follows. Definitely worth the time it takes to watch it.

Thanks for posting this in full - just watched the whole thing. What struck me is that he is in denial on all of the polls that Brokaw mentioned. "Well, that's just not a poll I agree with" and such remarks.
ReplyDeleteYeah it is becoming clearer and clearer that McCain has been drinking gallons of the same neo-con Kool-aid that George Bush is always drinking.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand this guy...and it's STILL painful!
ReplyDeleteStick a fork in him, he's way past done.
Stick a fork in this!

I've got no problem with that. There are 305,511,338 people in the USA right now - that $700 billion bailout could have bailed ALL of us out of debt....but they use it for greedy people on Wall Street and say it's for the "economy" - which is STILL in the toilet. They could have given a FRACTION to the American people and at least made people happy - and once all their debt is paid, then they would actually use the rest of the money for frivolous things and supposedly jump start the economy...Not saying it would work...but it would be nice, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteI have no problem with redistribution of wealth - and that video does not deter me from being a Barack Obama supporter! Obama/Biden '08!
Brokaw still has it. He's no Russert, but he is still one of the great ones in journalism.
