"My government is my worst enemy. I'm going to fight them with any means at hand."
This was former revolutionary terrorist Bill Ayers back in his old Weather Underground days, right? Imagine what Sarah Palin is going to do with this incendiary quote as she tears into Barack Obama this week.
Only one problem. The quote is from Joe Vogler, the raging anti-American who founded the Alaska Independence Party. Inconveniently for Palin, that's the very same secessionist party that her husband, Todd, belonged to for seven years and that she sent a shout-out to as Alaska governor earlier this year. ("Keep up the good work," Palin told AIP members. "And God bless you.")
AIP chairwoman Lynette Clark told me recently that Sarah Palin is her kind of gal. "She's Alaskan to the bone ... she sounds just like Joe Vogler."
What some people fail to remember is that Alaska has only been a state for less then fifty years.
There are still people alive who were against statehood. In bars all across this state, with sawdust on the floor, you can still find an old sourdough or two who will bend your ear for hours about why Alaska becoming a state was the worst idea ever.
So it is not at all strange that we have an Independent Party that still openly talks about the idea of Alaska seceding from the union. Many of the older members probably still don't consider themselves part of the USA anyhow.
But what is strange is having anybody in their mid forties joining such a party.
Okay well Sarah herself was not really a member (though she did make a video to help open their convention), but her husband was. And using the same criteria that Sarah herself uses to label Barack Obama, you are judged by the company you keep. And if Obama having served on a board of directors with William Ayers makes him guilty of associating with a domestic terrorist, then what does sleeping with Todd Palin make Sarah?
Todd apparently has some direct governance of Alaska. That makes all Alaskans guilty by association with anarchists.
ReplyDeleteSince Alaska is 65% Federal land, we all have a stake. We can't let anarchists rule Alaska. It is detrimental to our national security because of proximity to Russia and because of its resources.
Every email and any association Todd Palin has had in Alaska governance must be scrubbed to decipher what influence this anarchist group has had.
