And now it is time for Sarah Palin to make her long journey back home.

While standing in the Egan Center last night watching the election returns coming in I wondered out loud who would pay for Palin's return to Alaska in defeat. Since it is very unlikely that the McCain campaign will foot the bill.

But then my friend AKMuckraker said "Alaskans do of course". Sadly that is undoubtedly correct.

She is now OUR problem, and it will be up to us to deal with her. And deal with her we shall.

(I must give a tip of my hat to Lady Rose for this image.)

    Funny pic!!!

OMG, Gryphen aren't you just so happy? Sorry you are getting Bible Spice back but like you said, you can deal with her. The rumor is that Ted Stevens will be asked to step down & she'll appoint herself in his senate seat? Do you think that's likely?

  2. She can't appoint herself, thank goodness...former Governor Murkowski's appointment of his daughter and the fall out from that prevents Bible Spice (love that term!) from appointing anyone!

I think our state legislature knows how to handle Mrs. Palin after the (failed) campaigns attempts at black balling everyone who opposed her. Welcome home Sarah, good luck with getting anything done with out serious scrutiny!

flying fish - You have more faith in our lousy legislators than I do. They ain't gonna do shit about her. They're all spineless. (Except for Lyda, and she's gone now.)

Flying Fish thanks!! That is so good to know.

I was just thinking that BS (ha!) might not have as easy a time running for anything in 2012 as she will have aged another 4 years and may not be quite the sex object the GOP used her as in this election. What will she run on then? She better makes sure she hangs onto her looks for as long as possible. She'll be 48 when she runs again. She may have to *gasp* run on the issues and we all know how well that'll work for her. :)

  5. GET THAT RECALL PETITION GOIN'! She owes the state of Alaska $21k for her kids' travel expenses! The platform to defeat her can be crafted out of the theme of corruption and "above y'all" BS that brought down Stevens. And that Newsweek post-election article about her spending more than was initially reported on clothing is NOT going to help her image as a "fiscal reformer".

  6. yeah, start the recall....she is a liar and stealing your state blind too..and her Gas deal needs ALOT of scrutiny...SOON...

she is damaged goods...there will be no 2012 run...but I bet Fox will offer her Something...

I heard on the news tonight that she was coming home on the campaign plane. I guess they want to send her back where she came from in style. I hope they boot her out the door of the plane, saying, "Thanks for nothing."

  8. Hopefully Palin gets recalled, all the facts get out (like how did she get her house built for free?, etc.), she will be sued for what she did in Troopergate, and her taxes will be looked at with a fine tooth comb - and she gets billed for all those clothes too.

Alaska deserves so much better in a govenor.

Glad you liked the graphic! thanks for sharing it :)
