MySpace Celebrity and Katalyst present The Presidential Pledge
Yeah I know that this is video is full of Hollywood types who enjoy the luxury of being able to give huge amounts of money and time to the causes that they believe in, while the rest of us are struggling just to feed our families and pay our bills.
But the message of the video is not just for the elite in this country, or the powerful, or those feeling guilty for having so much.
The message is that if we all buy into this dream that Barack Obama has helped define for us, we really can make a difference.
Maybe all you can do is love your children and provide for their needs, but you are making a difference.
Maybe all you can do is turn off your computer and houselights more often, but you are making a difference.
Maybe all you can do is send twenty dollars to a village in Alaska to help them heat their homes in a bitterly cold winter, but you are making a difference.
Maybe all you can do is vote for the candidate that is the single best hope for the future of this country, but believe me you have made a difference.
And together I truly believe we can change the world.
Immediately what comes to mind is to be a better husband, father and worker bee. But more than that become more involved in my community and try to write better.
