Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Emmonak story makes front page of CNN.com
Wow this is huge! We have been pushing this story as hard as we can hoping that a national media outlet would pick it up and now it has!
Most of the credit has to go to Dennis Zaki who bravely flew out to the village of Emmonak, having no idea what awaited him, earned the trust of the villagers, filmed their story, became violently sick after drinking tap water before boarding a plane back to Anchorage, and has been tirelessly shopping his footage around until CNN offered to buy it. Now that my friends is selfless dedication to a cause!
And of course we must give a shout out to the many bloggers who pushed this story as well. Mudflats, Progressive Alaska, Diva's Blue Oasis, Alaska Real, Alaska News, and of course this site did a lot of the early heavy lifting to get this story out.
But none of it could have happened without the generous donations from visitors to this blog and others who contributed their hard earned money to help ease the suffering of the people of the Yukon Delta and helped to send Dennis out there to bring back this footage.
You can be proud.
Update: The story is also now on ADN.

I would like to hear your take on this odd transcript of SP's story to a police officer in Dec. 2005. She is trying to tell a story about her ex-brother in-law about an incident that happened 2 and half months early. Funny she was scared that at any moment he was going to beat up someone, or shoot someone including her dad, but not enough to call 911 at that time. She has a problem communicating even one on one, surprise. What I can gather from it though, she has an open phone to her sister's house, and believes she is in terrible danger so she drives over there and spies on his bad behavior through the window, until she runs out of time and has to go to a meeting. It sounds more like the very strange behavior is hers.
Yeah I have see this before.
ReplyDeleteWooten is certainly no choir boy, but I don't think that even Palin thought he was actually going to strike Molly.
I am also struck by how inarticulate she is while describing this incident. Not much has changed in four years.
Thanks for the question.
you palin haters make me Sick
ReplyDeletetrying to BLAME palin for something she is working hard to help with.
its almost as if you want her to fail
YOU PEOPLE ARE UN AMERICAN. She has sent aid to the villages.
TiPC at 7:13 :"She has sent aid to the villages."
ReplyDeleteDo you know something that we DON'T know? Last I checked, she was at the irondog races, but HAS NOT YET given ANY help to the villages! All the help the villages have gotten so far has been from the lower 48, and from church groups, and from Ramsren(?), who organized foodaid, and had to BEG the Grifter Governor to get some free airplane drops for those foodpackages, because otherwise, all the money he collected for BUYING FOOD would have had to go for paying for the transportation of the very things.
Besides SHE HAS NOT ONCE been up there in the villages to assess the real needs.
THIS IS SP'S KATRINA!!!
