Conservative radio host has "come to Jesus moment" after being waterboarded. "It is torture!" he says.

Apparently this doofus from Chicago, who calls himself "Mancow", has been making remarks on his radio show that waterboarding is not really torture, and decided to prove it by allowing himself to experience it first hand.

Well long story short, the guy turned out to be more "cow" than "man" and he lasted a pathetic 8 seconds even though the average person can last 14 seconds. However the experience seems to have suddenly given him the ability to realize what most of us more intelligent Americans have already come to understand, and that is that waterboarding is indeed torture.

Did you see how quickly he jumped up and ripped the rag off of his face? For the detainees at Gitmo, that was not an option. The only way to stop the torture was to tell their tormentors whatever they wanted to hear. Such as the "fact" that Iraq was involved in 9-11, which was the REAL purpose of their waterboarding.

So my question is "must ALL conservative torture deniers have to be waterboarded to get them to understand that this is indeed torture, or can they figure it out based on the response by this radio host and conservative writer Christopher Hitchens before him?"

I think that it is time to get FOX News to force Sean Hannity to go through this experience and to once and for all put this ridiculous debate behind us. If a man as used to sucking the air out of the room as Sean Hannity is, can withstand having his oxygen cut off and water poured up his nose, than we can all agree that waterboarding is NOT torture.

However I am pretty confident that Sean Hannity will probably start screaming and crying the minute a drop of water slides up one of his flared nostrils. The guy is a bullshit artist, NOT a tough guy by any stretch of the imagination.

(And by the way, good for Mancow to contact Keith Olbermann about his stunt. Olbermann has now donated $10,000 dollars to Veterans of Valor.)

Off topic...I just looked at the two latest photos of Tripp (as mentioned by other bloggers) no way can they be the same baby. Today Show drugged baby is way too large. Can you look into this.

    Gryphen,

You are no better than Sarah Palin, with all your secrecy, empty promises, taking donations without transparency, cowardice that you accuse others of, and most likely lies.

How can you critize someone else for the same thing you do yourself.

OT....does anyone know what's up over at Palins Deceptions? No activity for the last few days? Is she on vacation? Ill?

Oh, and, as to this post, yes, it seems SOME people cannot put themselves in others' shoes in an empathetic/sympathetic soul-to-soul type way...they can only see what it's like when they are actually treated the same way....and THEN the scales fall from their eyes. It's really quite sad that some of us humans are incapable of empathy.

Waterboarding is torture .. .. and Sean Insanity will never have the balls to be waterboarded.

For Sarah, the threat of a Levi book is worse than waterboarding...

Rex, please get Levi millions for his book.

  6. Don't all of you who criticize Gryphen read the comments? Just google NYT Levi Johnston and read the May 21 or May 22 article. The link is in the last articles comments! And yes there is an iceberg coming! Give Gryphen time so he gives the right info. I am sure if he could he would tell what he knows but he is smart to wait so he is 100% right.

Gryphen, I heard that the guy, Mancow, actually had to be revived after almost drowning as a small child. Don't know how old he was at the time, or if he has any memories of drowning. But that could explain his behavior.

I was glad to hear him say waterboarding was torture. Maybe some conservatives will listen to him, rather than ol' Dick and daughter Liz. I am anxious for all involved in war crimes to be indicted accordingly.

  8. Well, in defense of the guy, apparently he almost drowned as a child and this brought that memory back immediately and he panicked.

He did admit that it was torture.

However I think one of two things will happen.

    1. He will later disavow or go back on that statement.

    2. He will be dissed and belittled by his fellow right wing nutjobs as a wussy.

My money is on the second. Notibly from Rush and Sean.

Found this on the front page, Alaska Report:

Rumor Central: Big story still heading towards the S.S. Palin
A deal-breaker is heading toward the Palins. Can it be stopped? I don't think so. Will it topple the house of cards, all signs say yes. Stay tuned...

I want to agree with a previous commenter on the "go slow and get it right" .

Any poorly documented charge against her, she will be more than willing to poke holes in, deny, accuse, whine, and if necessary, invent an evil twin sister with identical fingerprints to wiggle out of taking responsibility for her actions.

I'm only half-kidding about the above post; I truly believe we are dealing with a personality capable of almost anything.

Worse things happen on reality shows all day long. Bottomline, all of you would do whatever it took to get the information you needed to save lives...especially if it were your family members. I would take torture all day long vs. getting my head cut off on TV. No innocent human being should be sujected to waterboarding. But if you have taken the life of any human being..you get what you deserve.

Glad this jerk admitted that waterboarding is torture, but please don't disparage him for only lasting 8 seconds instead of the anecdotal "average" of 14 secs. Come on, that's beneath you and other progressives.

  15. Gryphen, you are close to the scene. We are not. You are the only one who knows what is prudent to say and when.

I know you know your cred rests on uncovering at least a tip of an iceberg, but I'm more than willing to give you the benefit of the doubt for a while.

There's a lot of trolls trying to plant seeds, but they got the wrong soil. Their ideas are not going to hatch. We already have more than enough evidence on certain aspects of SP's lies. And Lie she has, over and over. One day you trolls are gonna feel pretty gnarly.

If you had any self-esteem left, you'll come back then and apologize.

Try holding BO to the standards that most use on Palin. Her daughter is just that, her daughter. What her kid does isn't how she does her job.You can tell your child the difference between right snd wronge. You can not always be around to make them do it.
I know that is too sane for most of you.But that is the facts.

  17. I've seen this ManCow clown on FOX. He's a total jerk who spews lines only a vapid Fox and Friends host would consider funny.
That said, I'm quite impressed with his honesty. I'm glad they interviewed him right afterwards when he was still shaken enough to give his honest impressions of waterboarding.
I wonder, though. Will he now go on Fox and state what he stated here? Will FOX even interview him?
I don't think for a moment that Hannity would do this.
