Behold the new Palinista!

Okay that headline was not fair, let's give the guy a chance.

The turnover continues in Gov. Sarah Palin's public relations staff, with her top spokesman, Bill McAllister, forced out after less than a year in the position.

Replacing McAllister is David Murrow, an author of Christian books who lives in Chugiak.

McAllister moves to a newly created position as communications director of the Department of Law.

Murrow said he was too busy to talk to the Empire on Friday, but earlier told the Alaska Budget Report Newsletter he began the job June 10 and is paid $103,716 annually.

What? The guy is Palin's new spokesperson since June 10, makes over a hundred thousand a year, and is too busy to talk to the press? Okay that was his chance and he screwed it up!

The governor's office has not publicly announced the new appointment, and has been slow to announce the hiring of the last three communications directors.

Embarrassed by our choices are we?

Murrow told the Budget Report that he owned a media production company that once did work for a Palin campaign, and is also author of two books on Christian men and church.

Uh oh, this does not bode well.

According to the American Library Association's Booklist, "Murrow advocates injecting a strong shot of testosterone into the proceedings to restore the masculine spirit to the church," in his first book, "Why Men Hate Church," published in 2004.

Are you freaking kidding me? Somebody once gave me that book in order to get me to go back to church. It was one of the DUMBEST things I have ever read!

I kid you not, the premise was that men simply don't go to church because they want to watch sports and work on their cars. (You can read some it for yourself right here. )

It seems fairly obvious to me that the idea of sitting down on hard pews and being told that you're going to hell and that the only way to find salvation is to submit to a higher authority is simply not a masculine ideal.

This guy is clueless. He may in fact be a perfect match for Governor Palin.

Of course none of this really makes any difference because we all know that when Governor Sarah REALLY wants to express herself she turns to the venomous Meg Stapletongue. "Get'em Meg, get'em! Make those liberal bloggers sorry!"

So is this guy is going to be sending out any religious content on government time, from government offices and government equipment?

Religion should be in churches and Governing in governments.

    Just sayin'.

Not too sure it's a feminine ideal either.

I'm a con who's NOT a palin fan. That being said, I've met dave, been in his home, and worshiped with him at church. He's a good guy and it's upsetting he will now have to carry palin's water. Give the guy a chance. I still respect him, even though I don't respect his boss.

Have you seen the new letters S&M are sending out for Sarah Pac begging for money? (available at the Sea of Pee) Sarah signs them--wait for it:

    "With an Alaska Heart,

    Sarah Palin"

You guys eat hearts up there or somethin'? Is she sending out, like, taste samples with her letters? Sorta like Alaskan Salmon. Oh, wait; shouldn't that be "With an AlaskaN heart"? (Picture smiling Sarah holding out a chunk of bloody heart...)

On the job (well not really though-at least NOT doing it )since the 10th and won't do an interview when they specifically 'asked' for one.?

Maybe he did not have ' Ginos's Talking Points ' memorized yet... simple mistake. (more flash cards... please ) And who no mention on the 'OFFICIAL' State of Alaska website. I thought that was what that was for... besides linking to First Dudes enterprises. 10 days....If she had an Ethics complaint dismissed it would be posted on the website within an hour though... and wishing for ' backlash and retribution'.

  6. Yet again Palin exercises poor judgment with her appointments by going with someone under qualified and ill prepared for the task at hand.

Saint Sarah is extremely incompetent - if you haven't noticed already!

I've asked before - never got an answer. What did McAllister do to deserve being sent into exile. He must know a lot. Can you get to him?

I think Palinista is correct, Gryphen.

I find it odd--beyond his obvious lack of qualifications--that no one knows what the heck this Communications guy has been doing for over two weeks. He's a Silent Communication Guy collecting a state salary? What do Alaskans think of that?

  10. Once again,

the govenor select's someone that is over qualified!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Some high-paid SEPARATION of church and state, huh, Gryphen?

My husband always falls asleep during the readings of the Torah portions at synagogue, because then there's less standing up and sitting down involved then than in other parts of the service. But do we need a whole book to tell us stuff like that?

  12. Once again,

the gino surrounds herself with another over qualified idiot!

and moving McAllister to a newly created position is some more show of her "hiring freeze"

Man, I don't know how you Alaska folks can put with her bs.

  13. Bill of Rights asked if Murrow was going to send out religious content on government time.

Ha!! Either he or Palin herself have just done that yesterday, three times. State of Alaska tweets encourage and sponsor programs to convert Native People to her religion:

    for posts on that.

Palin doesn't understand or care about the Establishment Clause of the First Amendement of the US Constitution.

Who will call her on this issue?

Just checking in to see that its just the same old same old around here. No new great revelations?

What are you going to do to spice this place up?!?!

Come on now I know you can think up some new crazy ethics complaint or how about a good old fashioned rumor, Zaki's good at those, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you asked for some advice.

I'm sick of Michael Jackson hoggin the spotlight already.

  15. So will McCallister talk now? Have you reached out to him about babygate because he was clearly in on it?

I wonder what he did to get demoted?

  16. After an indepth investigation, it has been determined that David Murrow was hiking on the Appalachian Trail with Governor Sanford.

I went to his blog and read a paragraph before I couldn't take any more! Haven't you noticed how her twits are all religious now?
She twitted this out the other day:
Thank you Wasilla for Trail of Healing! May God bless efforts of reconciliation; it shall be manifested in more respect for AKs First People11:39 PM Jun 27th from TwitterBerry
I couldn't figure out what the heck it meant, and then Phils blog and palingates explained it, Its connected to a church!!
They want to convert First peoples! She sent Moller there to represent SOA! Check out Palingates and phil blog it is quite disturbing!

Sounds to me like she has more than over-stepped the bounds of separation of church and state. Time for the ACLU me thinks.

Yes, I guess we can expect more religious tweets and spicing up her word salad with even more evangelical buzzwords. And apparently some testosterone too.

Communications (and Church) Director at the Dept. of Law. Nice little job Murrow will be doing in blending government and religion for Alaskans. Murrow’s salary must certainly be commensurate with, not only his experience but, his in-depth knowledge of legal matters and excellent communication skills, yes? Palin only hires the best qualified individuals. Blah, blah, blah.

Good grief, it’s a three ring circus with Palin winking--but not blinking--thinking she’s not stinking with no inkling that she will be sinking--soon. I hope!

    What happened to McAllister?

  22. I would say if this guy is a Christian he can't take this job, but her kind of Christians have no problem with lying, or lack of ethics.

  23. Anonymous5:40 PM

Anon 11:07 thanks for sharing that you know this person. That is nice of you. Murrow must believe in Sarah right? Or he wouldn't have taken the job. I don't know if you'll see this but Im wondering if he knows how you feel? It will be interesting to see if he lasts. And whether he will become disillusioned with her. How could any "true Christian" not be appalled by her lies and behavior.

  24. Okay for those who don't know Bill McAllister was diagnosed with Lymphoma five weeks after he started as Palin's press secretary.

I am not sure if that is why he has stepped down now or not, but I would imagine that it had something to do with it.

I read somewhere that Bill McAllister is now spokesman for the new AG - so, I don't believe he was demoted actually...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Couldn't the governor find an Alaskan to be her spokesman?

Murrow lives in Conroe, Texas and merely summers in Alaska!!

How do you like that? A Texan officially representing the Gov. of Alaska and getting paid by Alaska. I'd love to hear what the good ol' boys think about that.

The link for the bio is in Palingates' article on Murrow.

Thanks, Gryphen, for letting us know about Bill McAllister. I will keep him in my prayers.

Wonder how long this new guy will last once he sees those pictures of ol' GINO's fake pregnancy?

Shayfray Please do not feel like a jerk. McAllister is a LIAR LIAR Pants on fire.
    How do I know?
There are only two know pictures showing Gino clearly pregnant. One is the Andrea Gusty interview and the other which was taken on the same day is of Dan Sullivan, Palin and McAllister.
Trig was born April 18th. The caption under the Three Amigos picture reads: "Me (Dan), the governor (Palin) and PRESS SECRETARY MC ALLISTER. McAllister did not become press secretary until mid July - three months after Trig was born. This was a staged picture taken and uploaded to Flicker when the rumors started flying that Trig was not Sarah's baby.
The picture is a lie and so is McAllister!
