A small break from the Sarah Palin coverage today. Last night's New Rules.

Yes I noticed that there were a few Sarah Palin references but please, who is NOT talking about her right now?

Thank you for that. His Palin comments were right on. It was certainly one of his better New Rules.

  2. Sorry to interrupt your brief Sarah Palin interlude, but you need to see Regina's lastest post!

  3. Sorry to be so pesimistic, but I'm starting to think that Palin won against Gryphen and the other bloggers. Palinsdeception just keeps staring at it's navel chewing on the same old stuff. I ask myself why Audrey would go to all the trouble to write a very well-crafted blog and not make certain that it got the attention of the world? It's called "promotion" - one has to advertise. That's what the Republicans do.

I don't like it, but if the best Gryphen can come up with on the day before she leaves is a rerun of something we already watched for ourselves then I take that to mean the jig is up.

You gave it a good shot, but you never went for the jugular. It doesn't do a bit of good for the choir to sing to itself if they cannot get their message out to the world.

Seems to me some well placed bill boards, newspaper advertisements and interviews with media would have done the trick. When none of this happens it just tells Palin how powerful she really is. It's the last of the ninth and Palin is ahead. It's going to take a homerun with the bases loaded to bring her down.

I'm crying as I admit the truth.

Palin thought she was slapping down Letterman but what she really did was open up Pandora's box. I saw a hilarious piece on the Huffington Post recently about her being the 'Humor Czar'. I'm sure glad she didn't get into power, she would have banned all forms of mirth and merriment and all other forms of humor (plagiarizing the article here) and then she would have launched the missiles to start 'The Rapture'. Sorry for being silly here, I'm just celebrating the 26th early.

  5. Best joke of the day from a blogger on HP:

A woman in a hot air balloon realizes she is lost. She lowers her altitude and spots a man fishing from a boat below. She shouts to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The man consults his portable GPS and replies, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

She rolls her eyes and says, "You must be a Democrat!"

"I am," replies the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," answers the balloonist, "everything you tell me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you're not much help to me."

The man smiles and responds, "You must be Sarah Palin."

"I am, replies the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," says the man, "You don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and now you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but, somehow, now it's my fault."

I love Bill Maher almost as much as Jon Stewart - almost! Livvy, take heart. Gryphen, AKM, Shannyn, Phil and all the Alaska bloggers deserve a LOT of credit. They kept us informed on the real Sarah Palin when there was a chance she could have been our VP. I would like to see $ara Palin hauled away in handcuffs and made to take responsibility for her actions. It may happen yet, it may not. But at least we all didn't let up on getting the truth out. In addition to being proud of Gryphen, AKM, Shannyn, Celtic Diva, Phil and all the other bloggers we follow, I am proud of all of us who log on each day, express our outrage and don't let up. And won't let up.

  8. There are four remaining ethics violations yet to be resolved. More can be filed up to two years after Sarah Palin leaves office. It ain't over.

Livvy @11:30 AM, I feel your pain. But there are a whole lot of us who are on to her. Her poll numbers are dropping. I don't know anyone who can stand her in my tiny section of the world. I clued into her as a demagogue right away but the Alaska bloggers really opened my eyes to the details of what she is about. They have done a great job. As SoCalWolfGal said, we won't let up.

According to CNN it's over. Their reporter up there today said none of the complaints have ant "national traction." the reporters don't investigate at all it seems. It's very annoying. I wrote CNN and said how does the reporter know this if they aren't decided yet. Someone in Alaska needs to file a suit or suits or allvof this will be forgotten. I knd if agree with Livvy. I wish I didn't. Sarah just lies and lies so much that people don't question . It's sick!!

Livvy you are so right. Promote. In this day it is more complicated but one must start somewhere. The Palin machines have highly-skilled web strategists and conversation engineers who collaborate with a select group of clients to help them communicate smarter and better amplify their message. Tech savvy services that get your message out to the media. Not in everyone's budget.

Palin had the nefarious McCain machine. She now has Rupert Murdoch. He does not play fair either. All they do destroy by any means those that are in the way and promote the lies to fit the branding they desire.

  12. Livvy...I too feel your pain. Especially after listening to her media and Obama bashing speech today.

I dont care who Palin has behind her. Murdoch..C4P..it doesnt matter. when she starts opening her big mouth, and starts inspiring the bigots and racists like she did during the campaign, she will be pulverized.

Mitt Romney for eg, is not ever going to let Palin anywhere near the nomination. You can bet that he and many other GOP hopefuls have kept records of every single negative thing there is out there about Palin. The best she can hope for is fox news show...until a few more wrinkles appear at least.

It also doesnt seem to me, that no matter how supportive Todd is of her, that he would have any desire to move from Alaska. should her marriage suffer over this, it will also hurt her with her base. If, as has been said...she is a true evangelical...of of the 7 mountains variety....her husband is her "God head". What oh what will she say to explain to that base...why she wears the pants.

Livvy, I look forward to the day when ExGino suits up in orange and we see her do the perp walk on national television. But that will take hard evidence, and a strong court case. We know she has no scruples about lying under oath, and a small base of semi-crazy henchman. All this will take time and patience.

I would like to point out that this past presidential campaign, she had the best speech writers, television coaches, wardrobe, makeup, hairstylist and image consultants money could buy to try and make her look like presidential material, and she LOST.
