I thought that I would like to know something about Cathy Maples, R and D Electronics, whose winning bid for $63,500. for dinner with Sarah Palin is the talk of the internet, 18 Google pages. Occassionally, another story about this women, who coincidently works in an electronics company with defense contract, would appear. Each and every time that I clicked on any story at all about Cathy Maples, my virus spyware lit up, sirens went off and access was denied. Did I mention that she is an expert in the field of electronics in the service of the defense dept?
ReplyDeleteCathy is therefor the perfect dinner companion for our secretive Sarah. We haven't seen nor heard of Sarah for weeks. Two heroic men stepped forward to claim the hand of fair Sarah, but they were dismissed as liberals, not the right sort for our gal. But Cathy has earned her place at Sarah's table. She has cloaked herself in secrecy the equal of Sarah's; they are truly soul-sisters.
How strange that someone from Alabama wins this thing when 1/2 thru the auction(Sept-08-09) they revised the terms to change the dinner location (excuse me,"Experences", from... to Alabama?

ReplyDeleteThis Cathy Maples looks older than Palin's mother in one picture. Maybe Palin ought to invite Sally Heath along -- it seems like the two older women ought to have more in common than with a 45 year old.
And it seems so incongruous that an older woman with a resume like Maples' would be such a fan of a younger woman with Palin's resume. It'd be like me deciding I "worshipped" Demi Moore. Too weird.

That's according to a vote held Saturday at the annual Values Voter Summit in Washington.
About one-third of the 1,800 registered attendees cast ballots indicating their preference among potential GOP candidates. Huckabee was tops with 28 percent of the vote, which the group calls a straw poll.
Four people tied for second, each with about 12 percent of the vote. They were Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.

From the comment under the Blow-Pop-Palin heading, that Track Palin is home: I saw that Meg in a statement about his return referred to Track as the Palins' eldest son. Back when I was in school, eldest meant at least three: youngest, elder, eldest. Otherwise, with only two, it was elder and younger. oops
ReplyDeleteI was at Blow-Pop-Palin earlier. From listening to the audio of Cathy Maples speaking and seeing her comments, I certainly get the impression that she is President of R&D Electronics in name only. I would bet she is the "owner" just to qualify for government contracts awarded to women and minorities. I would like to know who is the real captain of that ship.

Please read some quotations by Cathy Maples listed at BlowPop Palin. As another poster p;ointed out, it is unlikely that the woman who is quoted there is also running an important electronics company with over 100 employees. The woman could not have finished high school with that kind of writing.
ReplyDeleteOh, and since she loves McCain's morals: let's all take a moment and remember that his first wife was in a terrible auto accident. While she was still recovering, (and they were still married), he was already working on his new relationship with Cindy.
Does'nt it seem a little strange that the auction was revised on sep 08-09 and the revision was that the location for the dinner was moved to Alabama and then low and behold a lady from Alabama wins it?!

Click on the link and you will see that "The seller has revised the following item information:" on Sep-08-09 at 19:24:17 PDT the Description Details were Revised as follows: Item Specifics: - Experiences Changed State/Province from--to Alabama.
Then 10 days later some lady from Alabama wins!!!

ReplyDeleteMost of the R & D or Cathy Maples sites either show an error or a virus alarm. It takes a lot of computer engineering skill to basicly shut down all the sites refering to her that way. Why would they do that? I have to wonder who all is involved. An electronics company should really have nothing to hide. Someone has proposed she is a shill for the company which is entirely possible. There is a picture of her on the R & D site and she doesn't look very native, but that does not mean she doesn't have enough native percentage to qualify for membership in a tribe. She does look pretty nerdy though, so that leads me to wonder what kind of college degree she might have. If it is electronic engineering she is probably legit. Most people bail on that major and do something else because it is really hard to understand the math and physics involved. I also found a short reference which looked like she had been in business for a long time. I could not get an idea of how big the business is, those small electronic assembly plants are a dime a dozen. The poor communication skills could be due to being on the autistic spectrum as a huge number of electronic engineering types are, usually Aspergers. If that is the case she may be blocking contacts from people due to being an unsocialized Aspie. I studied electronic engineering technology in the past for fun. Why? I have Aspergers and the math is really cool.
ReplyDeleteWay of Peace...I don't think she's pissed about the straw poll because in my opinion she's not planning on running for POTUS. She bailed on Governor because she can get much more adoration and moolah for being on faux news. She sees Limbaugh, Beck, etc. making millions of dollars for writing books and making hate speeches. Much more fun and a lot less work.

Pro Choice Grandma - I too wonder what's up with this Cathy Maples. Her comments make me think that some white male has given her 51% ownership of this business so that the business can qualify as a minority enterprise for Government contracting. It happens more than you think.
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience a minority having 51% ownership shouldn't be the only qualification. The minority must be fully engaged in the operations of the business. I wonder if this is the case with Ms. Maples. It would be nice to know more.

Palin's missing in action these past weeks could of been spent talking to this lady.
Cathy decides to donate alot of money towards the Troops..close to S.P's heart, and the plot is planned.
Rather than just donate the money and become chums discussing Politics why not have a public auction so this thing can go public
It will portray Sarah as a loving, devoted soul raising charity for the Troops
Her name will be back in the news.. a little nail biting will be going on to rev up her base again
Everything Palin is bizzare so of course putting Alabama on there .. when they did .. was just another example of how the old girl never "thinks before she does"

ReplyDeleteI am blonde and blue-eyed and don't have much signs of being Native American, but I have probably have enough Indian blood to qualify for status. Many of these minority firms are allowed to bid 10% higher than other bidders and still get the job if they have 8a status. However, the 8a status is only good for about 10 years.
ReplyDeleteI know Cathy Maples personally and she is a good lady. She has worked hard to get where she is and she is a very successful businesswoman. It was very convenient for her that the money that she is donating to the soldiers fund also got her a dinner date with one of her favorite politicians. Her income comes from the defense industry so what is so strange that she gives back to the soldiers and gets to eat with one of her favorite politicians in the process??
