By the way, everytime you saw Levi's eyes dart off camera when he was asked just what he knows about Sarah, he was looking at Tank Jones. Until Tank says Levi can talk, Levi will NOT talk.
Clearly this is not the revelatory interview that everybody hoped it would be, but it is also Levi's response to the rumor that Sarah is going to attack him in her book.
He is right, he does indeed know things that will destroy Sarah Palin. And this interview was his reminder to Palin that HE is the one with the damaging information, not her.
Levi needs to get his book written! All this dangling hints is driving a lot of us a bit batty. :)

I watched this piece as someone who doesn't breathe the blogs on all of the Palin's Gates. I think Levi being evasive is a good thing. Timing is important. The interview still was able to discredit Palin to those innocents out there. By saying he's not going to go that far, in my opinion, lends to more credibility, and perhaps gives the real guns (IRS, FBI) more incentive to do some digging for the truth.

He did reiterate that she referred to the baby as "retarded," and -- news -- other members of the family were uncomfortable about that. He said that he's got damaging info about her -- wouldn't say whether it was illegal or immoral -- while she was gov. and that it probably wouldn't be disclosed. He also described -- more news, from his own experience -- how painful it is for the parents to fight over divorce in front of the kids. It may depend on whether she attacks in her book. He comes across as an honest guy.
ReplyDeleteLevi may have been deprived of his civil rights under color of law, section 242 of title 18 USC, when his hunting trip was interrupted. All I know so far is that Bristol tried to get him to come back, but couldn't, so she gave the phone to Sarah. Sarah told him to get home or she'd pick him up (she is quoted in the VF article). If state police were used to get him back, the officers involved, as well as Sarah, might be prosecuted.

I believe Levi. It's hard for people to lie and not show it somehow. He shows no signs of lying, no excessive eye blinking, no looking in the wrong direction while thinking and speaking. No strange tone of voice or strange way of speaking. He strikes me as being honest. (I only think he is being slightly dishonest about who he is protecting by holding back, it's not $P, it's Bristol and ALL of the kids).
Contrast that with the CRAZY eye blinking you see Sarah do when patting her square belly in the Elan Frank video.

I agree, with the person wanting knowledgeable adults to step up (instead of Levi). If Palin's misdeeds as Governor are based on "he says/she says" - he can't be the only one to spill the beans. Looking forward to Frank Bailey's book, and other insiders. I don't think of this as trying to "out" a dysfunctional mother/citizen. This lady is trying to influence and control important issues of our day, and needs to be stopped for the benefit of our world situation.

I think Levi and handlers are making a mistake by revealing little negative details without the bigger negatives to put them in context. See how Maggie R. rejects the "retarded baby" story so vehemently. She can still hold onto her saintly Mother Sarah image because the larger non-saintly stuff is hidden from view. I'm sure as a newscaster on a major network she is skilled at only seeing what she's supposed to see so she needs to be hit over the head with the truth for it to sink in. She tries to fit in the little story and there is such cognitive dissonance that she has to reject the little, yet very telling, story.

Why is it that those who are interviewing Levi never follow-up with a question asking him if he thinks this plays into fueling the rumor that Bristol is actually Trig's birth mother? Why? This is so puzzling to me. I am sure that these anchors interviewing him are aware of the 'Sarah faked a pregnancy for her daughter, Bristol rumor'. Just can't understand why nobody will go there.

Okay I need to add to the train leaving the station comment - it is not as if I want to be on that train since it sounds like it is going to be in a wreck soon but it is hard to stand by, have patience, know that the truth and information is out there to stop the train in its tracks but we are stuck watching it gain speed and move anyway - getting away with lies, lies, and more lies and now I guess she is a million dollars richer for those lies. She brings out the worst in people and gets away with it.

I thought it was hilarious that she said Sarah was obviously such a caring mother during the campaign. Were her eyes closed the entire time? They have the power to MAKE her take lots of interviews because they've paid her millions and she's contractually bound to go to ANY interview they set up for her. She herself would never have gone on Oprah. Now she's being forced to due to her obligations to her publisher. And she can't just quit, or not show up at this point because of the money they've paid her.
Do you honestly think that Scarah is going to come off well in a book tour? If the publisher has any intention of trying to make back its advance (or even a portion thereof) they are going to force Scarah to appear LOTS of times on radio, TV, etc.
And do you think our little Quitter is going to come off well? Remember, this is the woman who can't form complete sentences. Whose neuroses and paranoia and religious mania are out of control, possibly worse due to anorexia. (Remember, when you're planning a lot of TV appearances, you can never be too thin!)
Just think about the CRAZY that we're going to get to see from her. It's wonderful. Let her ruin her own reputation through these appearances. She will come off as a total loony, because that's what she is when she is unscripted. Levi, Gryphen and others may help put a nail in her coffin up ahead, but after this book tour, I'll bet they won't even need to. She will have taken care of that herself.

Levi seems genuinely hurt that SP hates him now. He wants to get her back but he's still kinda loyal. But I think the reason Levi hesitates to spill the beans is not so much because he doesn't want to hurt Sarah, but because he doesn't want to hurt BRISTOL. If he comes out with the truth, then he's the one telling the world Bristol was pregnant twice in a year.

If Levi starts appearing everywhere and begins to talk about the HUGE secrets he has on Palin, that will build as news of Sarah's book release is talked about.
If Levi reveals info the day or two before Palin goes LIVE to Oprah's couch, how could Oprah NOT bring up whatever Levi has revealed on National TV. That would be the moment.
I agree with someone's comment above that if this is timed incorrectly, the news will easily get swept under the rug. Why not come out with it right before Palin begins her book tour. It will be brought up in every interview. OR, Palin will cancel interviews...hence proving whatever Levi says to be the truth and also hurting her promotional SELL-MORE-BOOKS tour
Note to Levi: You need to come up with a better answer for the question, Why are you telling these things? When you answer, "Because she is saying things about me," it makes you sound petty and childish.

She is tricking hard working people into sending her their money--making their family do without so that they can send her donations. Those poor people need to know that she is not what she seems." ReplyDeleteAbout Bristol taking care of Trig most of the time: I am curious about Bristol's "two jobs" as mentioned at a post to wish her a happy birthday. With Sarah's new company, PieSpy, is Bristol on that payroll? She may have been hired to take care of Trig.
I'd also like to know the therapy Trig is receiving. Sarah and the state were sued over the medications they allow for children under their state care. What happened to that court case?
I'd like to know more about PieSpy. We know that about the 200 people died from the medicaid mess under her lead. Sarah does not like the federal government to be involved. What are ways that can be avoided when you have a disabled child? Setting up your own corporation is not available to everyone. It does work for corrupt politicians and the wealthy.
What all Levi is doing I also hope he is on top of what is going on with both of the kids that are at the mercy of the Palins. We don't know what Levi is told about the medical care of his son or sons. He may believe the Palins offer something better than what has been established in our society. Therefore he may not want to open up about parts of this mess.
It seems necessary to find out as much as possible about PieSpy. Who works for them and what are the services they offer?

I wasn't expecting too much from this interview. I do believe it was a warning shot from Team Levi to Sarah to watch what she says on her book tour, especially on Oprah (who is already promoting her appearance). I doubt there was any other purpose than to remind Sarah that the closet is overflowing with skeletons, and Levi has the key to the door.

It's not Levi's job, nor is it his job to please us with the info we want. Levi does not need to dance to SP's tune or timing. He is just staying in the public eye so he has an audience when/if he needs to speak. Plus to earn some Playgirl money. And he is warning SP to lay off his family or he WILL speak. Don't you think SP would love to deny Levi access? I see the potential for a custody battle, and Levi is wise to retain his leverage, perhaps for a long time.

ReplyDeleteWhat I ment by the Oprah comment is that she has millions - plus or minus a few - viewers. Many of those viewers probably could care less about Palin but the show puts a spotlight on her and even if Palin comes off badly, more people will be exposed to her regardless. They might feel bad for her and buy a book or have the attitude that if Oprah thinks she's ok and going to devote a whole hour to her then she can't be all that bad. Palin is getting attention for better (because those millions of viewers will see what a joke she is) or worse (they will feel sorry for her because the bad media is picking on the fake hockey mom).
About Levi - isn't he up against the Murdock machine as well because they are putting up the $$ behind Palin? It is a big enough worry for him to think about his kids and Bristol but he may have to worry about the Murdock suits as well. They wouldn't want him to spoil any of Palin's marketability because he might tell the truth - heLL, someone has to.

IMO, Levi came off as honest in that he tells it like he sees it. I noticed the repeated attempts by the interviewer to get him to take back, or modify, his comments in a way that would benefit Palin, but he held his ground. I also see him as someone who has principles because he chose to not tell everything that he knows that would hurt Palin. You have to give him credit for that because had it been some other person, he/she would have dropped the entire Palin bomb on national teevee. At least he still has some compassion for her and her family and a certain amount of decency. In these respects, Levi is a winner. He possesses more of these qualities than the ex-gov ever will have.

Something that really struck me with this interview was Levi discussing "things that could -- things that will -- hurt her" but that they would probably never be told. In literary terms, I believe that is "foreshadowing" ... I see probably as a very broad hint that this information will eventually come out.
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to believe that Tank and Rex will have no choice but to be at Levi's side until the point that the information is made public (if not by Levi, by other "knowledgeable people" who can corroborate any information Levi has). Levi doesn't strike me as the type who would have a bodyguard for the sheer hell of it ... but what if Levi were to keep his mouth shut forever? Would he still need Tank? At what point would Levi ever feel safe from SP and Toad to the point that he would no longer need protection in the form of both a bodyguard and an attorney?
Levi might feel safer if the whole Wasilla mafia and all their branches around the state, plus McCain gang, gets life in max security prison and her boyfriend with corrections is included.

My impression was that whatever Levi knows about $P's activities is that they are both illegal and immoral. Loved his smirk too. Go Levi, keep your cards close until the proper time. It speaks volumes when $carah & Meggie slip the leash and once again reveal how truly classless they are. Dear Malek & Murdock, ya just can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.....

ReplyDeleteLevi had better record what he knows in a video that is copied multiple times and kept in secure places. This boy could be in serious danger if he does not tell the truth soon. I too do not think Sarah is going anywhere politically, but there are a lot of smitten neo-cons who will still try to keep her at a high level on the national stage.

ReplyDeleteIt better be recorded and verifiable through documentation. If he just comes out and starts saying things, it isn't really going to stick. He would have to prove it somehow. That is why I have been warning this community to be prepared. Someone mentioned before that Levi is losing credibility and looking more like "a boy who cried wolf."
If this is the bombshell we have been waiting for, then you better believe he brings the documentation. Else this will blow up in his face and basically turn Levi into a joke, which is why I don't understand Tank and Rex as they have been very poor role models. Levi is and has not been effective with these two. Maybe I have higher standards, but they haven't been good for Levi at all.
