Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
They are saying that any employer or fellow employees may rape a woman at work, hold her hostage and deny her even basics like food and water let alone basic medical care after a gang rape. The party of no is exposing their true selves.
This is unbelievably awful. It needs to be on the front page of every newspaper and on every TV channel. The no votes need to be publicly shamed. Where is NOW on this? Did Snowe and Collins vote no as well?
Yow. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, to think that rape is just one of those picky things that is in the way of Halliburton's profit margins. Every one of those yahoo's should resign in shame. I wonder how these guy's are explaining themselves to their wives and sisters, after this Daily Show segment aired. Ladies and gents, let's give 'em hell.
Just got back from The Huffington Post where this Daily Show clip is on the front page. Several of the comments list the 30 Republicans who voted against the amendment.
I see John McCain voted against this amendment, and to think he asked for our vote last November. What a sh*tty president he would have been.
Hard to believe anyone would put such language in a contract. Even worse that anyone would allow such behavior under their control, i.e., government contracts.
Be named and be ashamed: Alexander (R-TN), Barrasso (R-WY), Bond (R-MO), Brownback (R-KS), Bunning (R-KY), Burr (R-NC), Chambliss (R-GA), Coburn (R-OK), Cochran (R-MS), Corker (R-TN), Cornyn (R-TX), Crapo (R-ID), DeMint (R-SC), Ensign (R-NV), Enzi (R-WY), Graham (R-SC), Gregg (R-NH), Inhofe (R-OK), Isakson (R-GA), Johanns (R-NE), Kyl (R-AZ), McCain (R-AZ), McConnell (R-KY), Risch (R-ID), Roberts (R-KS), Sessions (R-AL), Shelby (R-AL), Thune (R-SD), Vitter (R-LA), Wicker (R-MS). (These same names keep showing up and I wonder why.) I looked at a map showing the number of forcible rapes in each of these senators states. Very interesting. For those interested check out www.nationalatlas.gov and filter on People, crime and forcible rape.
Loved it. Sums up the Republicans' love for big business no matter what the cost.

The Nation has an article on another rape victim of KBR, and how she was told to keep silent.
