LinkedIn lists years of employment as well; her profile says Palin was the governor of the State of Alaska for two years and seven months.
Palin also notes that she is interested in “Job inquiries, expertise requests, business deals, reference requests, and getting back in touch.”
Her 2008 running mate John McCain joined LinkedIn during the campaign to participate in “LinkedIn Answers,” a part of the site where people can ask questions and get answers from professionals.
Well it could in fact be on the up and up. Maybe she overspent on the "Palin compound" and is looking to make some fast money. What do you guys think?

I had seen her resume on the linkedin site a while ago (as in earlier this summer). It didn't say anything about her looking for a job, then... Don't remember her mentioning the AK Oil and Gas Conservation Commission either...

ReplyDeleteAt first glance, all of those "categories" expertise requests, reference requests, business deals, getting back in touch appear to be a joke at Sarah's LinkedIn entry.
ReplyDeleteSo, just for fun, I looked up Todd Palin, and took the first name that came up, a consultant for ERP in San Francisco, who also has the same caterory listings.
Ditto for Levi Johnston, an attorney at law in Portland, Oregon. I think that LinkedIn offers a number of boxes to check because these seem to be standard on a number of entries.
On the other hand, Sarah quit a perfectly good job, high profile, travel and speech opportunities, maybe a per diem or travel kick back and traded it in for one lousy speech in a foreign country, a book that was hot one day and not so hot after that, and so far, she hasn't even gotten one stinkin' lipstick endorsement.
Maybe she can get that turret in the new castle wired for radio and/or TV broadcasting just in case one of the networks call, or even cable. Too bad that the reality shows about raising kids seem to have a minimum of eight kids to get rolling.
I'm trying very hard to think up other money making deals for Sarah. Another appearance with those motorcycle guys, fixin' up some choppers. Popular TV tattoo shows have disappeared, and with Todd at liberty, so to speak, maybe he and Sarah could fill the void, doing some tats. I know that for a while the ADN was happy to print pictures of new tattoos. Sarah would be a natural doing TV commercials for Bumpit, the hair volumizer. I am worried about Sarah making money because that new Palin Home/Office/Airport Complex is going to cost a fortune, even with Todd's buddies helping out on weekends.

Besides - I'd forgotten she was supposedly a Communications and Journalism major. Egads - how bad is that academic program if she was able to graduated from it? I feel sorry for the University of Idaho on this. After all, both Yale and Harvard haven't yet lived down having W get diplomas from them.
Got to wonder who is going to be given those "expertise" and "character" references. Who's going to give the references credible references if they say SP is competent?

ReplyDeleteThis is not new. I've been a linkedin member for years and she added her profile at the same time McCain added his (or rather their staffers did it). Obama, Hilary and a few others also have profiles. They do not maintain them their staff does. The only reason Palin's is popping up as new is because she JUST got around to changing it from saying Governor and VIP Candidate. Took long enough.

After seeing the Palin's new mansion, castle, call it what you will....the next BIG question needs to be this. Why is a Private citizen allowed multiple funds and pac funds with NO accountability? Palin is crying she is "poor" so all her faithful sheeple keep sending her money not knowing where the money is being spent. The trustee of the Alaska Fund Trust, Kristan Cole promised transparency and regular reports on the donor amounts and where the money was being spent. Hasn't happened yet. Ths gang of thugs is hiding an awful lot....follow the money folks, follow the money. something stinks. How do her donors feel, she begged them for money to pay her legal fees and she now is a wealthy woman building a ginormous house....who's money is bulding that house? Did Kristan Cole get a big fat commission check on the land deal? Is Cole receiving management fees? Are there kickbacks involved to lauder the money?

Her book advance, after taxes and cuts for the agent and public relations, is about half of what we have heard. I know it costs less in Alaska to build (at least stuff is free for HER) but still, money can slip through your fingers if you think 3 million is being rich.

It looks real. But, isn't the "world her oyster"? And, can't she "move mountains" for any State reps that invite her to campaign for them? Where are all those "offers" now?
ReplyDeleteNot busy enough? Why not keep her servant's heart promise in helping families with Down's Syndrome children? There are plenty of orgs that would gladly appoint her to raise funds or whatever. She could work for the "Special Olympics, or any charitable org., or involve herself in a pro-life capacity, there are hundreds of possibilities in the humanitarian fields.
It does indeed look like she has left all counsel from any of her handlers and plans to go it alone. This is probably an honest glimpse into the real Sarah.
Ex Gov. needs work. Must be high paying, low stress. Facebook is preferred medium. Travel is Optional, at employers expense.

ReplyDeleteThere are also several SPs on LinkedIn but this one looks sort of legit. However, one can't look at her profile without being a premium (ie, pay money) LinkedIn member. There's no way to contact her about her interests, either, unless having paid extra.
I was listed as 2 contacts away from the quitter (not going there). She also had an earlier linkedin profile that listed 3/4 or 3/5 (I've lost track) of her colleges. That one was just plain "Sarah Palin". I think that one was set up for the campaign, based on the dates of (rather pitiful) "references".
